Hi guys. I am considering to buy new HW110 because of its accuracy as a main reason. But doing a research I found many who says its poor plastic retarded brother of HW100. What's your opinions please? Are there really so massive difference between them two? If there are, what's the pros and cones?

Cheers

Thanks for your input Andrew. Why would you put 100 over 110? is it only because the build quality, or accuracy too?

I have both, bought new in 2020. I know that there have been some HW110s that have had power issues, but I can’t only speak from my experience - they are both fantastic rifles, accurate, reliable and quiet with the supplied Weihrauch mods. The biggest differences in handling are that the HW100 magazines are easier to load into the rifle (probably the best out there) and the biathlon lever. You can get a 3D printed biathlon lever for the HW110 and although it’s OK it’s not up to the quality of the Weihrauch one that comes with the HW100.

Yes the HW100 might be better built but I’m not sure it’s £300 better. I love both of them. 😃

Thank you, I'm confused about that Biathlon lever, but will do my homework.
There is a brand new HW110 T Laminate 177 in my area available to buy for £720. Do you think its worth it?

I've had both and I would pick the hw100. Also you get a lot more attachment for the 100 so many options on different custom parts etc.. 110 it's much more newer so you will have less choice on parts etc... both very accurate.

If contemplating a Weihrauch PCP dont see why anyone would go with the "plastic" one, unless you know its going to get a real handling.
Its got to be like going into Frys for a mk3 cortina 1600 ghia and coming with a 1600 L ;)

Had the very same dilemma a few weeks ago and after a lot of research I ended up with the hw100 kt.
I'ts been nothing short of excellent and im glad I went with the 100 over the 110 mostly in part to the better and less fussy magazine latch and bigger magazine capacity and plus there's a wealth of information on the 100and custom parts.

Thanks for that info. It looks like I need to go to shop and compare them both in hand. Im fussy about the quality and reliability, but i like the thumb hole stock of the 110, which i found much more suitable and comfortable for me than the standard stock... 🙄
Although never had HW100 thumbhole in hands

I have both.

The magazine (both capacity and loading) is better on the 100.
The 100 feels more "premium"
I get better groupings with the 100, but they are both very accurate

The 110 is lighter and I find it far easier to shoot with when not using a bench or sticks. But I do have noodle arms, so others might find the 100 weight fine.

I bought both second hand so I don't know what the price difference is between them new, but I'd be happy with either. I do prefer the 100 though. I'd choose that unless my main use case was out ratting/hunting etc where I had to do a lot of unsupported shooting.

I note you said you preferred the thumbhole stock of the 110 - both rifles are available with the thumbhole stock.

Actually a lot of modern firearms are made from ballistic polymers
So the plastic bits a load of shite
I’ve owned my HW110T from new 2022 and no problems whatsoever
I’ve shot several 100’s and there’s not much in it
I actually think the 110 is smoother action and quieter
Saying that I wouldn’t mind a HW100KT Laminate to go with it 👍

Simply put the biathlon lever is a vertical stick to wrap your fingers round when cocking - a bit like a bow and arrow. The side lever only allows 1 or two fingers to cock. In reality its purely aesthetics.

My advice would be to keep an eye on the classies, you'll get a vgc 100 2nd hand for less than £720. Dont dismiss the pre-loved market, the vast majority of air guns in circulation have been through many a pair of grubby hands.

Im chasing HW100T but cant see anything below 1k on the Guntrader or Gunstar. I don't have access to the Sales section yet, but will keep searching. Thanks for your advice.

I have purchased both in the last 10 months and I am very pleased with both 👌
The 110 has a lot of knockers without a doubt but I bought one anyway! If you want a rifle for hunting buy the synthetic version, I was already sorted for a hunting gun so bought the laminate version, which has a thumb hole stock. It’s fairly lightweight and easy to handle, it’s very quiet and super accurate, what more can you ask for? I paid £800 from Pellpax, money well spent. The magazines do take some getting used to but are fine when you get the hang of it!
The 100S is a brilliant gun and the mags are really easy to use. The quality is there in everything it does. I love it! It is heavy and longer than the 110 but I am a big fella and it’s not a problem for me so much. The 100 is around £1150 now so some £350 more than the 110, so I would expect a bit more quality. You are unlikely to be disappointed with either or make your mind up to have both 😉 I should also say they both look terrific too!

I've seen them comp up quite often. I'm sure it will come up. You just got to keep your eyes open. Hw100 are great gun's. And you won't regret it. That was also my first pcp.

I second everything said by one more job as I too have both. My only frustration is that the 110 magazine only holds 10 pellets - hence 110 whereas the 100 holds 14. Because for many years I shot a 100 before the 110 was brought out I got used to a 14 pellet mag so unless I keep count of every shot fired in the 110 I guarantee I’ll go for the 11th shot not realising the mag is now empty!
If you are using it for hunting I’d go for a 100TK in .177 Walnut for the 14 shot mag and it’s a lovely gun to shoulder.
