HW100 or HW110

Maybe best if you use the search function. Question has been asked numerous times so lots of info and opinions. Both very good, I’ve got the HW100. Welcome aboard the forum.

I have both and both are very capable guns, you would not be disappointed with either. Depends what you want it to do. However mine are a bog standard 100 and a 110 that had the works done by HW100Tuning with a titanium tube. After spending a fair bit on the 110 I would not say it is any better than the 100

I can only speak directly of the HW100. But I do also have an HW44 pistol which I believe shares the magazine loading system with the HW110.

The loading of mags into the 44 is much more fiddly than the 100.

My RFD advised me to go for a HW100 platform over a HW110. I compared both and immediately knew it had to be the HW100. But again it’s each to their own. Go with what feels right to you and your budget.

The two extremes - HW100 and HW110K - are so different the choice would surely have to be infuence by the application. The overlap is with the shorter HW100k and longer HW110S. The HW110 is lighter, a cheaper construction, and has a better shot count. Critics of the cheap construction said it wouldn't last long but the HW110s have proved to be extremely reliable; the only issue is a reduction in power caused by the hammer spring which ideally needs to be replaced but can be sorted by adjusting the preload once the AT is removed. The HW100s tend to creep the other way (which few people seem to complain about) and also has an AT which needs to be removed. If it wasn't for the p.i.t.a ATs life would be a lot easier!

As you are in Boston, should you need any tweaks on your HWxxx then expert help is available for a short drive into N Norfolk. Enjoy!

Just a heads up:- My local RFD at Mid Norfolk has for sale an HW 100 with decent sight, at least 16 x50, plus spotting scope above, bag and front tripod at £795. It is clearly second hand at that price, but looks immaculate. I noted the dovetail rail looked different to that on mine, but was neat and tidy. Could be worth a phone call.

Just been working on a friends 110. Replaced the hammer spring. Regulator is currently stuck wide open and this is a gun that has been through HW100 Tuning. I cannot say that I am impressed with the build quality. I would go with the 100 if I had to choose.

I had the 110 and which I thought I would replace with the 100bp as an upgrade. I know a few people on here that have pulled them apart and they say the 100 is better made but mine have never been apart but I noticed no increase in accuracy between the two and reliability was and has been faultless with both, I rate both very highly.

Hi all hw 100 is the best one better billed quality as well the hw 110 is a good gun as well but as you all no they do have I floor the hammer spring once you change that there pretty good had my hw 100 s for 12 years only had one service in the time I’ve had it but recently had a leak from the brass Valve changed the seals as the old ones had gone hard I black max assisted me with that one and other members so a big thank you to all 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

HW100 all day long. Magazines load so smoothly, still probably the best loading system in the world today. Hw110 is a rougher fiddley affair altogether. Both well made accurate rifles, but between the two, HW100 ticks all boxes.

Have both. Honestly not much to choose between them with regards to accuracy, but as others have said the magazine loading method and higher pellet capacity magazines of the HW100 make it my preference. The HW110 just feels a bit cheaper in most regards (but then, it is cheaper)
