Went out plinking with @Miles with our 95k .22s yesterday, oh my god these are great guns!.
Non tuned, straight out of the box, don’t know what muzzle flip, harsh shot cycle, blah blah, these guns are epic!.

Absolutely nailing 20mm spinners out to 45 yards firing off my elbows!:
I really don’t know what you boys on here are doing but just get out with some pellets and practice, they are sensational!

Large dollop of something from somewhere and someone no doubt on its way!
I have to agree they are nice rifles , had three and down to one at the moment. Even that has a german spring in it to assist with cocking it. I use mine occasionally for free standing shooting with diopter sights.
Glad you like yours,
Jim

We are bang average springer shooters @Discocuzzy, aren’t we, but sitting on a 20 year old chucked out school chair, in a shed, off an elbow, the 95k just doesn’t miss! Don’t get the bad press. No need for an expensive tune.

From my experience most well made rifles don't need tuning, just time to break in and settle. Tuning from the get go is like getting new jeans, fading them and cutting holes in the arse and knees.....time will do that anyway.

I've got a Newish HW 95k.22 that's had a tune & I have to say its a fantastic rifle... lovely & lightweight but no way could I nail 20mm spinners at 45 yards, perhaps I've been shooting PCP's for to long 😂.

I get what you’re saying and we weren’t nailing them every time, but I would say 85% of the shots during the day.
But they are a spectacular gun out of the box, especially in .22, we were both pleasantly surprised!

My experience of the 95K is that an almost standard .22 far outshoots a highly fettled .177, and I’ve shot them back to back.

I can only assume the .177 version is what gives the 95K a bad reputation. In terms of weight, balance, proportions, handling, age overall quality I don’t think there’s break barrel to beat it. I say this despite the one I had arriving with a badly cut spring, damaged piston seal and lots of burrs on the action.

Shame I sampled a .177 then, it was horrible compared to my .22 longbow.
It was that unruly I sent it off for a tune and it came back better but still didn’t stay long, only good thing was the trigger I guess and the rest was meh!

The best sub 12 weihrauch is the HW35.
The 95k is good and I found it bouncy at first but a very gentle hold, not grip is the way forward in .177 I could make nails at 30 yards.
The 35k cycle is far nicer, less hold sensitive and in the standing shot position the stock is perfect.

I reckon that was the issue, @Ratbuster1994 ’s .22 only has a set of TBT guides on a factory spring and a bit of a tidy up/lube, and it’s amazing to shoot, really soft and bloody accurate, not hold sensitive.

Ive got a 99 and 95 in .22 and both are superb, I think from my limited experience .22 is the way to go with springers for general fun shooting, although some may argue that a .177 is better for target work.
My 97k is in .177 and I have so say, its more of a PIA to shoot than the 2 break barrels but that may be down to a badly adjusted trigger.

All are far more fun to shoot than my Hw100s mind, so much so im going to out 2 of them this week.....maybe a TX will be joining the springer collection soon hopefully.

My brothers got two of these and both are superbly accurate, nv on one and the other a day scope, he wouldn’t swap them for anything,

I was going to say, a lot of people say .22 for spring and .177 for air.
It's a good philosophy especially for hunters.
Unless like me you detune them down between 10-10.5ftlb in .177 still enough punch for hunting or targets.
