Hi Folks
Couple of packages arrived today.
HW 30 arrived scoped up and ready to play. The little scope seems ok, Nice and clear and probably a great starter scope for a youngster with good eyes.
I changed it over to Vector air 3 x9 x32 and that works a lot better for me. Didnt want to fit a huge over the top scope. Eye relief is bang on which surprised me. Jnr stock but fits the way i hold a rifle perfect.Im a crouched over the rifle kind of shooter.
Being HW we know the build quality will be there and that the record trigger unit will be spot on, Great in standard form but i will set it up to suit me.
Im shocked at how (CUTE) this little rifle is. Cute is in my opinion best way to describe it.
Its light with a lovely slim stock that feels just right to handle. The action is very deliberate when cocking (yep i did cock it but ribs said --just once mate ).
Lovely clunk on lock up as well.
Obvioulsy once cocked it would be wrong to not shoot it. It is defo back yard friendly with Silencer fitted. Very little recoil as well.
I plan to shoot it in standard form for quite a while, Will just clean the barrel for now. Later on it will get a full strip down, Degrease and TBT kit fitted.
TBT Kit arrived minutes after the rifle hahah.
The packages have made my day, Not being able to shoot it yet is a downer but that time willl come.

PS
Anyone out there with a younger shooter jsut starting out PM me if you want the little HW scope. I will never use it and it really should be used.
Just cleaned the barrel, Not too bad just the normal preservative junk in there. All nice and shiny now. Shouldnt have a problem pellet testing, Have plenty to go at.

Hi Gravel. Great little guns these. As you have already plumped for the TBT kit and intend to do some work on it in the future, might as well have a chat with the chaps @Britseal and get a couple of their bits in there. Enjoy 👍

Hi Mate
Im truly shocked at how the little rifle looks and feels.
I can see this little thing taking main stage in my collection. No air tanks with those dam probes that i always lose etc.
Get myslef plonked in rear yard, Coffee on hand and tin of pellets and let rip hahah

Yeah they get a lot of praise for just being, well what they are - Basic, fun shooting. Mines been apart for the usual post purchase strip down, degrease. Debur Polish and relube but in all honesty this one wasn't too bad. Going to go the same route as you at some point though. Be worth checking cocking linkage just incase it's a bit tight

When i strip the gun down i want to fit a set back trigger as well if i can find a supplier. But that will be in the future.Just going to have fun with it for the time being.
So good to gp back to basics after years of shooting PCPs.

Rowan Engineering do the set back trigger. I’m debating one currently.

Absolutely lovely. They are really nice guns to shoot. I've got one in each flavour and really enjoy shooting them.
Happy New Gun Day. :)

Cracking little air rifle. I fitted a set back trigger blade in mine a worthwhile modification in my opinion.
Mine was from TR Robb, delivery took a while but it arrived in the end, was a doddle to fit and was worth the wait.

Yep im going same route, I like the finger pull from grip to trigger as short as possible. Having to reach for trigger really does affect accuracy on release.
