Ok I’ve been asked to put up a thread with regards this
So essentially I’ve been informed that a friend of mine has been intouch with the PRS directors and they have gave the ok for High Powered air rifles to be used in the .22 rimfire series just like the rest of the world

So basically it’s a feeler to see what the interest would be for HP air rifles users to potentially compete in the uk PRS rimfire series

I believe they would be in their own category so not directly competing with .22lr , which is fair enough. When I started shooting at one point I only had a FAC airrifle and would have loved to have tried the sport in competition. So yeah why not encourage more people into it.

This is an interesting step, especially considering this is the first season that Benchrest in the UK has began to shoot the 'unlimited air' category for FAC air rifles.

My .25 Panthera was built for PRS practice and in the hope they’d be allowed, but life gets in the way 🤷‍♂️

The rest of the world allows up to .30 I *think* so it’d be a shame if the uk limited to .22

Edit, yes up to .30 section 2.4 here

So i do compete in the PRS rimfire series here in the UK and so far i am the only one doing so with an Airgun. The match directors are happy for HP airguns to compete they are definitely capable believe you me! Soo get yourself on ultimate ballistics, and sign up! The division you want is gas gun as a specific Airgun division is not set up, until there’s more Airgun shooters.
