My M3 has a rusty/damaged fill valve and will not form a seal.

I bought this kit from BestFittings: https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop...l-adaptors/fx-impact-fill-valve-upgrade-copy/

Has anyone replaced this part and can direct me how to?

Also is the foster fitting in that kit the right part, the FX part has a blue aluminium bit inside.

On the Crown, I drain the air/remove the bottle and empty the plenum. Check there is no air.

Once I am happy there is no pressure in the gun I undo the old foster. Put a new O ring on the inlet valve rod. Put the inlet valve rod in the new foster, on the Crown there is an O ring, not a dowty but for the impact fit the new dowty on the new foster and screw it back in. I would do it up finger tight and then nip it up. Torque setting is around 2 white knuckles.

If it's double dog dare tight to undo you may need to strip the peripherals off so you can hold it firmly in a rubber jawed vice or if like me you're to poor to own a vice, hold the block down on a bench with rubber pads and a G clamp.

I must admit that of the ten or so I've removed, none have been particularly tight, not really any need to be, as there is no turning action when pushing the female half on, certainly never needed a vice to undo.
@Worzel did you change it without problems?

Got it fitted, easy job. Filled the gun, so far so good.
