It’s a HW80K with a shortened barrel.

I’ll try some (lots) of heat today and see if we get any movement.

Since it’s an HW80, the underside / the barrel should be smooth. Chances are someone used something like Araldite to hold it in place. A generous application of heat should break it down enough for you to slide it off. Fingers crossed it comes away without a fight

many of the Hammerli 850's in .22 did not shoot well at all and no one could figure out why, they had LW barrels on them
and then the problem was found
the .22 barrel had less meat then the .177 but the hole for the front sight was drilled the same
and in some cases the hole left a dimple inside the barrel, the fix was cut the barrel off
