I guess I don't really know the full inns and outs of how youtube works
Let's just go back a few weeks, vector optics contacted me and asked if I'd like to review any of their gear. I'm well sorted for gear but the sentinel X was on my radar as I've been looking to get into a little bit of br shooting.
Now like most manufacturers they often give away a lot of stuff in the hope of favourable reviews but here's the rub... They will often insist that the channel does all the links to where to buy the item and all that sort of stuff.
I've zero interest in any of that, my channel isn't here for selling gear for other people,I barely even talk about my own work on there.
So I politely declined and to be fair to them they were very polite and not pushy like some brands are,so we left it at that. I've previously talked about how some brands are well sketchy...
Well shortly after I started playing with a club .22lr and decided to just go and buy a sentinel x. They were giving a free set of high dovetail rings with the scope at opw so grabbed one.
Anyhow I did a review of it
honestly it's my typical narky style,I was infact quite harsh about it...
Well I got another email from them a few days ago saying they'd watched the review and really liked it and was surprised how much detail I went too
They asked if they could use it on their social media, I kinda just figured they might embed a link to the video on their website or something,so agreed they could share it.
I'm actually quite indifferent to it all really, I make the vids as it's fun. They were polite and friendly at all times and I quite enjoy chatting to various brands around the world
Well I've just sat down for a tea break and a vector vid flicked up on my yt home page...
It's my video with a fancy vector intro

I did a double take as the 9015 flashed up, it fully threw me for a moment..
This youtube thing is weird...
