Question raised at work this week. I don’t wash them at all but the wife does and she confirmed what I told my colleagues, once a month. Apparently that means I’m a scuzzy ba5tard as you should wash them weekly, according to my colleagues. I always shower before bed but this is because I get allergies. I shower in the morning too, aforementioned co workers all said they only showered once a day, so I suggested that it’s them and not me that have hygiene issues but that fell on deaf ears.

I suspect when they all ganged up on me that they probably don’t wash their bedsheets weekly either but didn’t want to admit this.

So be honest, how often for you?

I often wondered why I have no friends. I didn’t realise that it might be due to poor bedroom hygiene. Either that or I really am a cvnt

I change my bedsheets every Saturday.

Get up. Strip bed and shower. Leave bed with no sheets for a few hours. Then fresh sheets, blankets over the duvet, and arrange pillows and cushions.

I like to shower before bed also. During summer months or after a tough day of work I also shower after work.

While I do see the point of keeping them clean, there is something to be said for reducing our exposure to the various chemicals in washing powder.
My ideal scenario would probably be wash with vary basic powder and air on the line for a few hours.
The thought of strong detergent, conditioner, softener and then sleeping for hours on sheets, leaves me with thoughts of endocrine disruption, and mysterious chronic conditions.

At last a man who speaks sense. I’d add that all of you OCD fear of dirt bedsheet washers who expect clean underwear daily are causing massive environmental damage by overusing washing machines.

I think I’ll probably stop washing bedsheets at all and do my bit to reduce global warming

If I'm honest, probably not nearly often enough, but since it's only me using them, why bother? If there was a chance of company, then a fresh set would probably be fitted beforehand. As for personal, a bath a couple of times a week, unless I've been doing something particularly sweaty/dirty. As regards undercrackers, clean every day, same as socks, but I have several dozen pairs of each, and literally hundreds of t shirts, so I can still go weeks without doing laundry

Its good for the environment to be crusty - just don't expect to have too many friends or much success with the Ladies !

Married. And it’s her job to wash them so none of this is on me.

I don’t have any friends, as stated in my original post!

Unlike you, at least I’m not dead.
