How much do you spend on pellets each year?

kin ell i can do over 300 round with a bolt action in 40 minutes

I bet you're glad that it's not an HMR, which is a real wallet killer.

Just wondering what people's spend is on pellets each year or when doing a single bulk order?

I have just done a couple of hundred on a bulk spend. This will last me along time, so not to bad.
Nice try “Daniel”
I’m not falling for that.
Next thing, you’ll be asking what the average price for an Airwolf is.
And I’ll be sporting a black eye.

Probably only spent around £60 on pellets so far this year but had a few old tins from years ago I've been shooting too.

Years ago a tin of 500 could last me anything from a couple of days to around 3 weeks but back then pellets were a lot cheaper.

Also back then there wasn't much difference in price between .177 and .22 pellets. I've mostly shot .22 but sometimes enjoyed the change of shooting .177 and used a Webley Vulcan for that.

These days it seems .177 pellets are quite a bit cheaper than .22 to the extent it might be worth switching to .177 to make shooting a bit cheaper... Price of pellets doesn't really matter if you're hunting and only doing a few shots per session but if you shoot a couple of hundred shots in a long plinking session and do so several times a week the costs could soon add up these days.

There's no way I would attempt to convert the HW77 from .22 to .177 but I still have the Webley Vulcan in .177 and have recently bought a HW80 in .22 . At some point I might see if I can pick up a .177 barrel for the HW80.

Last year I spent £253, the year before £326. The year before I bought loads of different pellets for testing, mostly so that I could be sure I wasn’t missing a good, cheap option going forwards. I found that my Cometa 200 likes Gamo, so a find, The S200 really takes to QYS heavies, but give acceptable results with swaged (if I can be @rsed), the Mito likes Baracuda FTs, but also does acceptably with Baracuda 8s. My grandsons’ CP1/2 both do pretty good with Excite, but better with B8s. My Beeman really likes BFTs and not a lot besides, and the newly acquired AP900 seems to be sold on Exacts, both 8 and 10, but I haven’t yet tested the full range of cheapies with it.

I only shoot .177 for this reason. Over a year or two, it covers the cost of another project gun.

Used to do 2 tins a weekend up the range when I could get a decent bulk buy price from Krale...now a tin lasts me ages just doing pest controlling

It varies, currently having a sabbatical, so none, usually a couple of tins a month, sometimes more, I buy them locally so I hopefully I wont be whining about my local RFDs closing down!!😁👍

I visit the club twice a week and usually get through a tin of pellets every session.

Back in the days when Voymir was still sane and honest, it wasn't unusual to place an order which topped a thousand quid.
Mind you, that was including orders from clubmates.
We were noticing the prices going up so we simply got in front of the game to save a few quid.

Nevertheless, I still have a goodly stash of pellets which will take about five years to get through.. :ROFLMAO: Homer face palm 🫣
