When the real Queen died the press and news etc were saying she couldnt be a Queen because of the divorces and a legal thing set years ago IIRC
Then she was called Queen Consort
Now she is Queen Camilla
I am confused folks how can she be the Queen now?

She isn't she will always be queen consort as she married the rightful hier and wasn't inline her self

Elisabeth was queen in her own right as she was daughter of the previous king

Nothing like a good Royal Family thread to extend the banned members list 😉
In spite of everything that has happened in the past, Camilla has risen above it all, and her loyalty to Charles and the rest of his family, and her obvious devotion to duty is to be commended.

Does it matter what she is called?

Surely by most reasonable standards the wife of the King is the Queen?
If somebody wants to be pedantic and insist on calling her "Consort" who is really bothered?

(Generally speaking, I think Charles and Camilla have love story is worthy of a Shakespearean tragedy.
But get a "bad press" in some circles - possibly going back to Diana and the divorce etc?
Usually from the sections of the press who paid so much money for any photos of Diana that she was hounded until the moment of her death.
Harry gets a pasting from them too - possibly because of saying things similar to my comment?)

I do not feel strongly about whether Camilla is Queen or Consort, really.
But if you support the Royal Family then should you question them and their choices?

Camilla has pulled off mission impossible when you consider the baseline.

How? By just getting on with the job. That's it. No drama. No asking or begging for public support. No complaining about how hard it is. No tears. No stupid TV shows. She's just got on with it and absolutely nailed it.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, also understands this.
