Hiya, as above, I’ve only ever shot an impact once and it was a mk2 compact and I was really impressed with how smooth the side lever was, easily as smooth as my raw and much smoother than the airmaks guns. How good are they handling and accuracy? I’ve been offered one at a great price but it would mean selling to add funds.

Thanks in advance 🤩

I'm a huge fan and have owned mine for probably 18 months I guess. Mine hasn't missed a beat, and the gun has always been an absolute joy to use. Slick, very quiet, and extremely accurate. A lot of seals and parts to them, but surprisingly easy to work on. Always beware of buying used unless you're confident of its history, as they attract tinkerers, many of which lack the required skills and end up making them a bit crap.

Handling? Meh, it's a cold, spikey, metal, tactical affair, so it's not exactly a work of art in terms of ergonomics, but I've never had an issue, admittedly mine is generally shot off a bag or rest though.

Will do a full tin of pellets on a fill in sub 12, so makes a great range gun as well. A solid all rounder tbh. Mine would be one of my last guns to go as its just so dependable and consistent.

Loads of tarty upgrades as well, if that's your bag 😄

I’ve had a few issues with mine (M3 in .22) but, it’s behaving itself currently. I did fit a carbon fibre barrel stiffener (cheap and easy to fit) and this did tighten groups a little. One thing I’ve become convinced of is that they need cleaning every 500 shots or so. Overall, I love it. I use it mainly for vermin control, fitted with an Arken Zulus - excellent combo

I have had mine about 2.5 years its very accurate. However its like handling a bag of spanners ergonomically, fitting a long swiss arka rail and butt stock helps alot. The barrel system is much more close tolerance in the main block in the M3 I have knocked my barrel many times against gates, branches etc and its never effected accuracy. Others will say the opposite. Buy a NEW one and any problems will be sorted under warranty. If you want a tough more reliable and accurate gun get an AGT vulcan 3.

I purchased the m3 compact .177 at the weekend. Not had chance to play with it yet as currently working nights till Friday. But if my mk2 Impact is anything to go buy this will soon be my go to ratting/barn gun.

Exactly this, especially check the previous owner for signs for ‘tinkeringness’.

They both share the crown for different reasons.

OR….. get an FX Crown. (Or King…)

It’s almost new and it’s from my local gunsmith who services all my guns. It’s like buying a new gun really. It’s like do I really need it, definitely not. Do I want it yes, I’m edging towards keeping what I have.

To be fair, ALL of the FX guns I've had have been varying levels of excellent, new or used. I have owned 2x Mavericks, 1x Wildcat MK3, 1x Typhoon, 1x BTAS Cyclone, 1x Impact M3, 1x Panthera, 1x DreamTac Compact, 1x Crown MK2 Compact, and probably othere I have missed.

Out of those guns I cannot choose a bad one. I currently own the Impact M3, the Panthera, the Crown, and the DreamTac Compact. All in .177 bar the DreamTac which is .22

Yes I am a bit of a fan boy, but only because I've had such a positive experience. If they went to shit then I would be the first one to complain about them.

I would quite like a walnut DRS, then I'm done, honest.

That’s a lot of fx’s and a lot of positive feedback, thank you 👍 he’s letting me borrow it over the weekend to see what I think, I’m quite excited to be honest 🤩
