Is the Hobbymat Universal ( MD65 I believe ) a decent machine?

It will be an addition to my Unimat 3 as it is available for much less than the autofeed would be for the Unimat and also give me the option to do some machine threading once I’ve learnt how to.

£100 motor runs nicely, autofeed works, all slides and compound working nicely, but no tooling.

At £100 it must be worth a punt.
MT2 headstock and MT1 tail stock together with 12 mm bore allow for many options.
It is also not over large to set up in shed or garage.

First lathe I ever owned personally.
Got it from Axminster power tools decades ago.
Belt driven with plastic change wheels and you have to use the stop/reverse method for threading but a fun machine.
Round bed with a top flat from memory with a captive tailstock.

And bright yellow 😁

At £100? Absolute bargain even just as a collectable.
