A few days late, but this is Happy New Kit Day to me.

Gun: BRK Ghost Plus in .22
Scope: Zulus V2 5-20 LRF
Grip: Fab Defence Rubberised AK-Style
Bipod: UTG Recon 360 TL Bipod 7-9"
Mod: 0dB Short (though I'm in talks with @Tricky-Dicky about getting a custom shroud made up!)

I've only put about 50 shots through so far; averaging 11.5 ft-lbs with Daystate Sovereigns, and is very accurate even though its still not properly broken in.

Welcome to the Ghost club. Mine seems to really like Hades, Soverigns, Strattons. It's actually not too bad with Wasps 🤣

Lately though, i bought some Bisley LRG and it seems to really like those at 50m

I got the Sovereigns and some AA Diabolo Fields when I bought the gun, and I have some samples from Wolfman on their way;

H&N FTT
JSB Hades
JSB Exact Jumbo
JSB Exact Jumbo RS

Hopefully I can do some testing over the weekend and see what it prefers.

Congratulations, I hope you get a lot of enjoyment from your new rifle. Had my Ghost almost 18 months now, just been out for the morning with it and it still puts a big smile on my face.

Thank you. It feels very sturdy and well made. Heavier than I expected, but the weight is mostly between the butt and the grip, so it's nicely balanced.

So, I just did my first proper bit of pellet testing in the garden after work.

Light wind. 10 shots @ 31m.
9/10 shots are within a 12mm c-2-c group, the 1 lower shot (my fault) brings the group to about 18 c-2-c.

Room for improvement, sure, but with a new gun that's not fully broken in, that I'm still learning, and that has only tried one type of pellet so far...I'm pretty bloody happy with that.

So, bad news. I did some proper testing over the weekend and the gun was running hot with JSB Expresses.
The RFD confirmed my readings and have given me a new gun, but now I need to start all my testing from scratch!

More bad news - I got the new rifle yesterday after the RFD verified that the original rifle was running hot. After getting it home and checking it over, it’s got some damage and dinks in the paint, which is really frustrating for a brand new gun. It can never be simple, huh?

not good whose the RFD?
The Airgun Centre in Rayleigh.

In their defence, they were very responsive with resolving the overpowered issue.

I've sent over an email with pictures of the damage and I'm waiting for a response now. They're not exactly round the corner, so I don't want to make the journey only to be fobbed off - hence why I wanted to send the evidence via email immediately to prove that its not damage caused during my ownership. The damage isn't HUGE, by any means, but its meant to be a brand new gun.

Same scenario as mine mate, mine had rust and was marked after apparently being checked. After spending all that money you want it to be perfect, if you mark it then thats on you but otherwise it needs to be min

Both guns have been the standard titanium colour, but given the bad luck I don’t know if I try a third time or pay the difference and go for a silver or blaze. Personally I don’t think it’s worth the £200 mark-up for a different colour, but I also don’t want a third set of problems.

Update for transparency - AGC have responded and said they’ll handle it. They’re going to order another rifle in from BRK and let me know when I can swap them over.

It’s a frustrating series of events, but mistakes happen and it’s how a company handles them that matters. So credit where it’s due, and I want to be clear that they’re handling it fairly.
