Had a couple of Mora knives delivered today. I don't usually buy fixed blades, but fancied trying a couple.

These seem really good value at £9.95 each. The "Basic" and the "Companion" :

Both are available in carbon or SS and various colours. I went for SS in both.

They are razor sharp and seem well made. They have great reviews.

The handles are comfortable and sit well in my hands. I think these will make excellent work knives around the house and garden.

I’ve been using Mora knives for donkeys years and that inevitably led to a bit of a collection as well 🤪
The models I’ve used the most are the Companion stainless, small woodcarver, the Eldris (cut up more boxes with it than you can shake a stick at) and my latest and favourite user a Bushcraft Black with black dlc coated carbon blade.

I’ve got a Robust and for the money they’re great! They’ll last you years mate!

Enjoy!
I’ve always preferred the handle on the Robust/Basic Craft range because you get a bit more of a guard.
I was going to take my Robust off the shelf and start using it when a mate recommended the Bushcraft Black,I am really happy with it and its handle is very comfortable in use.
I also ordered a Mora 2000 stainless, just to see what it was like. Its a bigger blade and handle than the others buts it’s a relatively thin blade for its size.Bit more of a camp knife to me,I will say it has the best Mora dangler sheath of any model in the range though.

I concur beautiful Nordic blades extremely well built and MoraKniv is a respected company and a must have blade in any knife collection. HNKD bro you won't regret your purchase I started my bushcraft journey with a Mora as did many others, some beautiful examples on show here already 😍. One love ❤️ Ali

I need to grab some new knives, any recommendation where to get a Mora and a Gerber with a gut hook from, Used to buy all mine from Nick (Nutshot) who was half hour down the road

Hi Flashheart,
can you tell me which Mora is the fourth one down in your phot ?
- looks like a non scandi grind,
cheers Tedward.

Hi Tedward, It’s an old Mora Craftline Flex but I’m sure you can still get this model. I got mine from Moonraker knives about 9 years ago.
It has a 1mm blade stock but is also flat ground too making it a very good slicer.

Brilliant cheapo beater knives that can be good for various applications. I use the carbon steel companions on deer in the field and the fishing variant above for butchery along with other boning knives. Good honest knives and the scandis are dead easy to sharpen to wicked edges on a basic stone.
