Picked up this HW35 .22 from my local auction today.

Shooting a consistent 9.5ft/lb, serial number dates it around 1979. Single sided safety model with what I'm assuming is the leather seal inside. No importer stamps however so unsure if it's Hull cartridge or an Edgar Brothers import etc?

Locks up nicely and the action is very smooth. Trigger is lovely, very impressive things for their ages! Wipes the floor with old BSA's etc I've got to compare it to!

Does have some minor battle scars on the stock and a few small dots of rust on the cylinder but I'm happy with it regardless :)

Very nice. HNGD.
I wonder if it's somewhere between the time E.B. and Hull swapped over? There's a 1979 HW35 in an auction at the moment that's marked Edgar Brothers Macclesfield s/n 752271. I'd quite like a Macc. marked Weihrauch but it won't be this time.

HNGD!!!
Because of your post, just taken my 1991 HC HW35 in .22 out of it's cupboard. Not used it for ages. Recall it was much more pleasant to use than my 2013 one in .177.
Will have a plink this afternoon.
