Picked this up today. Should be rather good fun...

Somewhere I still have six mags for my own, 'lost' back in 1987 in the aftermath of Hungerford.

No use to you, though, yours will be metric with different lips.......

Odd to think that I stayed in the Army for another thirteen years, shooting everything I could get my sticky hands on, but not trusted with my own rifle.

I need one of these in my life.

Give it to me, please.
TBH I don't know why there aren't more metric FAL straight pulls about. Parts kits are very common in other countries, as are receivers, and could in theory be built up as S1 rifles. I understand new barrels actually come undrilled as the gas port is drilled as part of the installation process, so you just wouldn't do that here.
A better proposition and certainly no more hurdles to jump through than getting inch-pattern bits and in many ways actually much easier. It could in theory even be possible for some enterprising individual to have someone like DS Arms supply S1-compliant rifles straight from the factory.

I guess like most things there's not enough profit or demand to make it worthwhile.

Sling bits all taken off as I won't be using it.

Rear sight removed as although it just clears the eye bell I've realised it'll get in the way of the MK scope caps on the way.

That scope mount came with the LPVO as a heavy discounted bundle, it's nice but looking at the amount of rail available I reckon a mount offering better support might be a good idea. More shopping
