Would never have imagined since my earliest days of airgunning that I’d be lumping out £50 shy of a grand for a springer. Not being big headed just expressing my shock at how times have changed.
Are manufacturers just simply endeavouring to bring springers inline with PCPs? Something’s going on I feel. That said.. why should PCPs be more expensive than springers anyway?
While in the RFD today I touched on the worth of FAC air and from the horses mouth was told what you buy new will be worth a quarter of what you paid for it as soon as you leave the shop with it. Basically FAC air is a a money loser, it’d make more sense to buy a s/h .22 RF for £150 or leave it alone…I’m five months down the road from applying for FAC air and regretting it before I’ve got anywhere!
Bl**dy hell!!

Welcome to the Prosport Club, you are now the lucky owner of the Supermarine Spitfire of the air rifle world, beautiful to look at, beautiful to handle. Those who moan about the underlever being ‘a bit tricky’ are those who wouldn’t want to fly the Spitfire as it took a bit of technique to take-off and land safely 😉
