Guns to sell - where?

I don't really want to give them to a stealer to sell, but it might be where I end up. My Beretta side by side Silver Hawk, I can't shoot it now without it killing my shoulder, even after just a couple of shots. I tried it on a visit to Anglesey to my old editor's place. I made the mistake of firing two barrels off and that was me finished, back to the house for my pain management pills! It is a 12 with 5 chokes and all the paperwork.
A 10 gauge with about 90 shells. AYA Greylag. This is for a friend's widow as are the next two.
Beretta 687El - fairly basic but one from when they were built like a tank. leather slip.
Winchester Model 23 12g 3" magnum - very unusual, it was nickel plated from new by GMK
There is a load of clothing too - including a really good stalking suit, barely worn. he was a big bloke though!

Anyway, I have tried Gunstar or the other one, I can't remember. After spending all afternoon trying to set up an account I gave up. I don't know how to navigate the digital world! Maybe I will just end up going to a stealer and virtually giving them away.
This may not be suitable but worth mentioning. My wife started to suffer with recoil that was never an issue before but as we get older it can be a problem so I bought a number of different recoil pads but despite the claims made for them, only one worked really well and that the ISIS X pad from Recoil Systems. I have removed it from the gun when she sold it and let a few people try it on theirs, a winner every time.

I've done the pictures of the 10 bore and Winchester 23... but forgot to put the piece of card with my name on... I shall have to go and do it. It will have to wait until I get back now, I have a bike shoot for Back Street Heroes this evening, got to get ready for that.

Pigeon watch came good.
All 4 guns sold in one day, for my asking prices too, to a private RFD, ie not a gunshop but an RFD in his spare time. The 10 bore he was particularly interested in because it was a proper AYA and being the Greylag was an ejector too. There is probably some more in it for him, but I am happy they are gone, less to be responsible for!

Someone further up asked me what semi auto I have got, it is a Beretta 390AL, or AL390, can't remember which. One owner from new, all original paperwork, hang tag from the shop, spare chokes and choke key, action block with a red flag. I paid £250 for it last year and it has not had a lot of use. That much is evident from the lack of soot build up within the front cylinder thing. They are a pretty solid workhorse anyway and I can shoot it quite well, for me! I hate crossers and anything going diagonally, I just don't know how to work out where to aim, whereas things coming at me I can just 'blot out' and shoot and down they come, likewise things going straight away, just shoot underneath, but anything at an angle I miss 90% of them. I know I am a crap shot!

I read this too late as after a 23. You probably did me a favour though! Glad you got sorted
That particular 23 was a very special one. Nickel plated and pinned from new, by GMK as new. The same firm thatused to nickel plate the military guns did the actual plating. Then matt blacked over to remove the shine. No corossion anywhere. Mike Hague Guns in Newport S Wales bought it.

Talk about salt in the wound 😂. To be fair, my browning lives in the cabinet most of the time and I take a pump action mossberg out with me for everything! I would swap my browning for a model 23 though. I think they shoot so nicely.

I'm glad you managed to sell them and not have to let them go dirt cheap or for scrap.(y)

Regarding your trouble with crossers and diagonal birds.

Imagine you have a paint brush in the end of the barrel and you are painting a line through the clay. Paint your line through it and fire as you do. You should hit it, or not be too far out. You may have to give it some lead.
I find that crossers generally need about 2 foot lead but this can vary with distance from the clay and how fast it is moving. Someone should be able to tell you if you are in front or behind.
When you take the shot keep the gun moving as you swing through or you will miss behind. The objective is to intercept the clay with the shot cloud which is why some shots need lead. Going away shots tend to be easier because the shot cloud is chasing the clay.

I stuck two guns on PW a week ago, An italian Hilton gun co OU twin barrel skeet & trap set & a Greener GP, hundreds of views but no takers at a hundred quid & 50 quid respectively. At this rate they will be meeting their end by 9" grinder soon!
