Good kitchen knives for not much money

By way of strange coincidence me and Mrs Smith are in the market for a couple of new knives like the ones pictured above. Thanks for sharing.

Yes that’s the place.

They are by far the cheapest I’ve found the Kiwi Brand knives being sold.
I’ve had my eye on the Nakiri specifically for a long while now and most places ask 4 x the price with delivery. Their Delivery is pretty quick too.

Thanks for this info. Just had s quick look at their site and their stuff is very reasonably priced. I feel another shopping spree coming on..,

Picked up these 4 x Kiwi Brand Knives for £21 delivered from Tradewinds Oriental Shop.
Sharp, very thin and very reasonably priced blades. Recommend.

Brilliant. Thanks for that. I’ve had a couple of these for many years now. Recommended by a butcher years ago and they have been excellent. Most people would look over them due to the price I think.

😳😳🫨🫨 some of this knives are cheaper than the postage I buy my steel from to make knives 🫨🫨
What steel is it.

Might have to try them out to compare to my victorinox.
I need a wok too.

Good stuff. The blades are very thin but not very flexible. If you are into filleting fish then look elsewhere.

I’ve been using one of the black handled 173’s almost exclusively for kitchen duties over the past week.

At 6.5 inches the blade is a good all rounder. It performs the small tasks like dicing jalapeños without getting in its own way and I’ve never known a knife to slice a large water melon up so effortlessly. This one will probably displace a few of my larger kitchen knives.
