Just checked they are front loading bb shells, so much for that idea.Can't you just fire pellets in the bb shells, I do in my m29 and sheridan revolvers.
Some are better than others. I avoid the Gamo round balls, they tend to have a bit of a seam and leave black stuff all over your fingers. I have some copper coated ones that look good and shoot well. How did you manage that? not an easy job, the Nagant's are taperedI turned some up from Dan Wesson 715 cartridges.

Made a simple "dowel" that fits in the front of the cartridge so it is held firmly at either end using the live tailstock centre. The cartridge has to be modified in quits a few dimensions including the diameter of the rim.How did you manage that? not an easy job, the Nagant's are tapered
