Getting back into sea fishing

Hi yes I saw it the BBC getting confused about fishing again, the average Eel is 2 to 4lbs yes a silver Eel not a Conger, and I would say it was dead as a door nail, I have been on several wrecking trips and never seen anybody hold a Conger like that,Good luck 🤞 mitch21
I like the bit --"I fought it for ten minutes"!!!! i caught one a few years back on a mates boat whilst wrecking -Ten minutes!!!!! it took me close to 20 mins to get it up-and then it was thrashing about like a twister!!!! it was only around 9lb --bloody well lively things they are i had to wrap it in a towel to get it picked up to get it back in the water

I’m a coarse fisherman but have recently caught the saltwater bug, although I quite fancy doing a few boat charters. I’ll be happy catching a few mackerel to cook on the bbq.

I have bought an uptider to use from the shore, but really I’m clueless no doubt I’ll get bitten and want to buy some shore rods.

It’ll be cheaper to nip to the local fishmongers 😂.

I was fishing two grains down from Sam when he caught that eel and it definitely went back alive. Loads of rays have been caught there over the last couple of months in between the dogs which have been an absolute pain.

Hello, Where on Bognor beach did he catch that Eel ??, Have fished all along there from Butlins / Pier and to Aldwick, I lived behind the magic roundabout for about 6 months

Near butlins not directly behind it which is where most of the rays have been coming from but a lot of people cast to far behind there as you only need fifty to seventy yards. I'm fishing at Alnwick tonight behind the private estate part.
