GAMO Varmint Stalker Barricade Moderator

Im currently using a .22 Gamo Stalker Barricade springer which is very loud. The barrel has a plastic shroud which I dont think does much to reduce noise. Potos enclosed.

Anyone know if I can fit a moderator straight onto it ir if this shroud comes off?? Nothing unscrews as far as i can see. Very new to air rifles. Any help appreciated.

Hi @DorisLC4 the Gamo Stalker Barricade doesn't have a thread so you won't be able to fit a moderator to it unfortunately

The issue with some of these rifle's fitted with plastic shrouds and faux moderator/front sight assemblies is the muzzle end of the barrel may be machined to grip the shroud or front sight assembly and it can make putting a slip on moderator or moderator adapter hard to do .


They are often injection moulded on or pressed on and the barrel machined like this .

This is a Gamo one .

You might be able to get it screw cut but it means removing the shroud. A slip on over the shroud would be poor for accuracy and pellets clipping the moderator.
