Hi iam looking for a some advice on a problem with my FX Impact mk2,
i shot it today and it fired ok then it wouldnt fire at all. ive checked the cylinder pressure
and thats fine. Any advice would be really appreciated.

regards Danny

Thanks for you reply, do you know what pressure it should be set to.

yes the regulator pressure is at 60 bar.
yes it cocks and fires but only like theres no pressure.

Definitely sounds like a reg issue then, the hammer hasn’t got enough spring load to open the valve

Sounds like its your Reg as i stated .. if your compenetent you could unscrew the bottle and remove your trigger guard and trigger ( teigger ia removed with one bolt ) watch for the spring …
And give the regulayor a slight turn that will telease the air … then secondly turn the reg clockwise a quarter turn and refit the bottle and see where the regs at .. and let me know ok

I have a .177 Impact Mk2 sub 12ftlb and this is what my reg gauge is reading

Your regulator has developed a creep issue not uncommon after a few years of good use.
That’s why your regulator is showing 100bar & the hammer is no longer strong enough to open the valve.

Just unscrew the bottle & then take a spanner and very slowly unscrew the back gauge for the regulator until you hear the air bleed off slowly, leave it until all the air has escaped then nip the gauge back up to where it was, you’ll probably be able to hand tighten it back to the same position once the pressure has gone. Or take a 2.5mm ball end allen key & turn the regulator adjustment screw counter clockwise a little, the air will also bleed off slowly via that method too.

You need to buy a rebuilt kit and replace the piston, belleville washers & pressure adjustment screw. It’s really not that hard it just sounds it.

Happy to help where I can if needed.

One dry fire on my impacts loses the air out of the gun rather than messing cracking seals apart on the gauges. Obviously once the cylinder is removed.
