Hi, problem with my M3 , had it 12 month ,was running at 11.4 ftlb ,now at 8.
I thought it wasn't shooting as well as it was ,trying some new pellets over the chrono ,the fps are consistent.
I've check breach seal ,pellet probe ,look ok. Degassed and looked at the valve rod ,c3 is ok
rod end is out at 8mm ,from what I've seen this should be 6mm! ,it all feels tight ,never altered this and its been working ok. Doesn't look like there is much thread left to take it down anymore.
Power wheel as it was .Regulator 2 at about 57bar as it was ,
Regulator 1 prior to taking bottle off and degassing I think this was 110bar , now the bottle back on its 120 to 135
has a little bit of creep over 5 min from 130 to 133 , ( so something changed when taking bottle off and back on)
Does regulator 1 affect power if regulator 2 is ok?
any input appreciated

Reg 1 will settle down after a few shots. They often shift after the bottle has been removed and re-fitted.

Have you tried adjusting the hammerspring? If you dont have the Quick Tune Kit fitted it can still be adjusted with a 1.5mm allen key. Think its 1.5mm. Someone else will be along to say. If you cant find how to adjust it online, message me as we cant discuss power adjustment on an open forum.

Hi, thanks for the reply ,
will keep an eye on reg 1 see if it settles .
No quick tune on this , wheel is at 16 and slider! is at 4.3 so not much left on its movement,
yes could move it to 5 and see if it alters anything

Bit of an odd one for it to be consistently low
Do you have the front valve adjuster or just a cap? Bit of a daft question but was it left for a period cocked? Has the reg pressure been adjusted at all?

put something fluffy around the barrel fitting front and back and shoot a couple pellets without the mag in place to check for leaks .

barrel or breech o rings maybe . worth a look

Hi, front is just a cap , no not left cocked ,
I've not adjusted anything since I've had it ,

Hi, gave that a go , seem fine

Might be worth changing the barrel probe o-ring and the two either side of the transfer port just to rule them out.

Just re read your first post and may be a daft question but you say you were trying new pellets, did you adjust the chrono to suit ?
Please don't be offended by my question, I've done it myself 🤣

🤣 no offence taken , I did think the same and checked the settings and tried a different rifle ,chrono ok :)
No o-rings at the mo , got some on the way

Have you accidently moved the valve adjuster thats if there is any movement on a sub 12! Also the higher pressure at the second reg could be too high for the hammer spring to open the valve. NOTE you must NOT adjust the reg DOWN with pressure in the gun. It can ruin the reg sealing faces.

Think the valve adjuster is just a cap on this, regulator no.1 is a little iritic ,115 to 135bar , had some creep overnight.
regulator no.2 holding well at about 57bar.
ta .

Reg 1 won't affect the power that's reg 2's job.
The only thing reg 1 might affect is the recovery time of reg 2. The higher the pressure on reg 1 the better for recovery imo that's why some people delete reg 1. Your settings look fine though. I think you need to do the barrel/transfer port o rings first to eliminate those

Ta, rings have just arrived will give them a go.

I've been altering the micro adjuster , wheel 16 adjuster 3.5 gives the best ,600fps.
anything above or below this fps get slower , 16 and 4 gives 570fps.

I would increase the reg to 70 bar and the hammer spring at max. If no improvement then it is likely something internal causing a restriction in the air flow.

John.

Ta , something has changed somewhere, guess its just trial and error

New barrel and transfer port rings , no difference in fps.

Did you happen to fit a slug liner? This will rob you of FPS with the faster twist rate.

John.

I am a novice regards this part if the hobby and read these posts to learn.
So can i just ask....if rifle was ok BUT now its low AND nothing as been changed or worked on does that not mean its a oring thats gone? Read there are orings that only come into play on firing so no real leak shows.

No, as it was

I'm the same as you , what your saying makes sense ,I don't have the knowledge to figure out where to look :)
