Hi 👋

Due to recent changes in family life and not having much time on my hands I’m thinking of putting my ftp900 for sale however I don’t see many of them about these days on the sales sections

It’s a beauty and will get some pictures up later , it’s a .177 full turned with a ISP Reg and was all serviced this year by Staffordshire custom rifles

What’s would be a good starting price ? Thinking £950-1000 with Harris bi pod , scope and plastic case

Looking to pass it onto somebody who will use the rifle to its full potential as it’s a shame I no longer have the time for bench rest shooting these days

Yea sounds like £1000 is a reasonable price and will be nice knowing someone will use it to its full potential

I would be interested, once I have been giving sales/marketplace privileges, of course. I'm not quite there yet, but hopefully not too long. 🙂

Well now's a good time to talk about the rifle in general and you will get there this afternoon.
Sounds good if that's allowed on this thread, someone let me know if it's not please. Do you know if the tune up involved changing the reg? And is everything else standard on it? Shroud, air stripper etc?

Nothing wrong with asking what's it like to shoot a FTP 900. Nothing wrong to ask about that regulator as opposed to stock, shot string power curve etc.

None of this is asking for a price or a deal.

Get in quick else I'm going to do all the work for you! LOL.

Have you completed a recent full shot string with it? And if so from what fill pressure?

They are a superb rifle, it’s probably the one in my collection I would never part with, superbly accurate, great stock and well balanced.
You certainly will not struggle to sell it on, but also might be worth using it again to remind yourself why you should keep it 👍

Good luck with the decision

I agree around the £1000 mark for the bare gun, the reg does not make a difference in my opinion as it needs a functioning reg to operate, it's not like you can sell it without one?

Sell the other bits separately, especially the scope, I don't know the model, but you could be looking at hundreds for that on it's own, especially with decent mounts.

Great guns for a decent entry level price into good BR kit (y)

Shauns regs are great, my EV2 has had the ISP treatment and was sent off to Shaun to set it it up..
Mines still all original. serviced by AA when needed . even though i have a few Rob Lane ftp9 regs sat on the side .
My EV2 Mk4 has a Lane reg which is spot on superb consistency 🙂👍
