So like many other people I completed the online form to get a Beretta base ball cap at the shooting show NEC, got my special QR code and told I could collect between 10-11 or 2-3, went along at 10:15 to find they had run out, it was a first come first serve basis and I should try again at 2pm. What a con nowhere in all the info did it say limited numbers, and why give a special QR code, they knew they had given out more codes than they had caps. It was just a data gathering exercise. Heard quite a few people saying they weren’t happy, really poor show if you ask me.

I walked past and there was a massive queue before 10. Realised I couldn't be arsed and walked away

Yep, same here. First person we asked on the Beretta stand denied any knowledge of the offer at all, and the next (very snooty lady) mumbled something about them only having about 5 caps which had all gone at 10am. Was told they had more (wow, another 5?) to give away at 2pm, but due to 'demand' suggested we get there by 1:45pm at the latest.
Pfffff!
(The details of the offer stated there were *500* caps available on a limited edition first-come basis to those who completed the online form)
As you say, utter con and certainly not worth the inordinate amount of printer ink needed to print the blasted 2-sided offer out on.
Didn't bother going back and any goodwill toward Beretta in general well and truly gone. If they want to badger me for marketing good luck to them, emails will go straight into a spam filter.

On a happier note spent a very nice day looking at various makes and models I've never had the chance to play with before and came away with umpteen free lanyards, pens and key fobs from nice airgun makers!
