My neighbour bought me a prezzie from the car boot he goes to. I have used a magpie decoy for years but have never tried a crow, any tips on using a single one? I have given him a name already though I've called him Brandon 😊

one will do the job mate, as mentioned above peg him out so he looks like hes eating something,it will get the attention of the other crows, 👍

Not keen on plastic decoys cant beat the reel thing soon as you can swap it when you knock the first one down
Try setting it up next to a favourite sitty tree if they dont come in they'll usually go to the tree giving you a shot

I tried him this mate and I think you are right 👍

The dog looks a little unsure about Brandon😁

It's the foxes he doesn't like he goes nuts if he sees or hears one.

Other propietary junk food outlet bags are available......

I don't use any of them I put a sandwich bag and a bit of foil out this morning.

Great movie Micah 👍

Cheers mate you got the joke 👍 I am working with a couple of youngish lads at the moment and my sense of humour just goes right over their heads.

i use 18 crow decoys with the shotgun, and 2 with the air rifle.
i seem to do best with 2 decoys for the air rifle, 1 on the ground by whatever you put down to attract them, and t'other perched close by on a gate or fence as a lookout, its what crows do. take care not to put your lookout near, or as high as any shootable vantage point where they can land.
i stumbled on a good tactic by accident years ago, put a dead magpie with its wings spread at the feet of the crow decoy ;)

Thanks for the advice pogue I posted on the other thread about making it look like the crow is attacking a magpie I will definitely give it a try now 👍

I might need a pigeon decoy to shoot a pigeon so a can shoot some magpies then 😂 Thanks for the tip mate
Don't forget, now woodpigeons are amber listed you can shoot a magpie to protect a woodpigeon!
