Always shot my dad’s springers and PCPs but never had one of my own. Moved out last year with a good length garden and thought I’d start with a springer. Gamo Hunter 440.

First thing that drew me to it was the looks. Love a traditional style rifle and the stock is finished so well. Had great groups from it at 25yards and consistent plinking at 30.

I know Gamo gets a lot of hate, especially with the trigger, but I read up an article from Charlie Da Tuna explaining how well these can shoot after a tune. So that’ll be a project I can work on! Also have a CDT trigger installed since the photo, and a nice Hawke scope.

We all started somewhere. My first was a BSA Mercury Challenger in '86. I've got 9 rifles now and the Challenger is one of them. Well done for getting a springer too. I have a few PCPs but have way more fun shooting the springers. Have fun; safely of course!

That’s a good looking rifle👍🏻 this Gamo will deffo be one I never sell, I’ll just add to the collection. I’ll deffo get a PCP in the future but I like how I can just pick up my springer and use it. Cheers

Congratulations pal . My first rifle when I got back in to Airguns about 6 or 7 years ago was a Gamo varmint hunter . I enjoyed that rifle and it made me smile, it was the first of many on my journey.
Thank you, it’s the same for me! Keeps me happy.

HNGD.👍🏻
As long as you like it , that's all that matters.
You'll get some stick from some but with a CDT tune on that, I think you'll be happy for a while yet.😁
The 440 has a good rep in Gamo circles.
Thank you mate, and for the price I can’t complain. It’s definitely keeping me happy, and that’s before I’ve done too much on the inside.
