As per the title really, got a slow leak on a BSA scorpion.
It holds air for a couple of days but then drops.
It's empty right now, should I just do a full set of seals or are there likely culprits?
It's got a huma external reg if that makes a difference.

Many thanks

Mine was the same.Turned out to be the fill valve o ring,I just put a bit of water in the recess where it fits into the cylinder and could see it bubbling away.Doddle to do xtx have a vid on it.Bought the whole seal kit but just fitted the cap one, will save the rest till needed. If it ain't broke etc.Might not be that on yours but easy starting point in the elimination process.

Same as Andy above says ,I have a few ultras and it's the fil valve seal or the seal valve to air tube

I had gauge o-ring go bad on mine. I would check these easy to change o-rings first and if you need to take the air tube off then change all o-rings.

Yep. Fill valve O ring.
Deformed and brittle.
Cheers for the help gents.

I have an Ultra SE... 2 months ago could hear the air coming out of the fill valve and as others have mentioned, watched a few videos online and it was relatively easy to strip down and replace the o-rings. It had never been serviced (for over 10 years... eek) and the rings had turned to hard plastic with the ball bearing stuck fast in the bottom! So, for the first time in months I was able to fill the tank to correct pressure, but then discovered it was empty again overnight.

On reflection, I had unscrewed the pressure guage to depressurise the tank but hadn't replaced the o-ring here, so figured this would now be the culprit. Replaced the guage o-ring, refilled the tank and now the guage doesn't work and it still depressurises! Watched yet more videos about faulty guages and was convinced I had over tightened it and squashed the o-ring, but seems not.

So now have a seemingly inoperative guage and a slowly depressurising tank. Is it probe o-ring next???

RDW.

Do the balloon check, that will eliminate the fill and firing valves. Play a bit with the gauge, they are rather sensitive to right tightening. IIRC the original o-ring was also a rather thick size so you could try thinner one in there as it is less likely to block the passage to gauge. If balloon checks fail take the action and submerge in water to see where it leaks, remember to dry carefully, pressurized air and warm place to dry. At 10 years most of the o-rings are hard and deformed so replacing them all is not such a bad idea.

As @rkr above, gauge not working is almost always down to overtightening, the O ring is a BS105, tighten the gauge to finger tight and no more than a 1/4 turn.

Strip the gun down to the air containing parts (cylinder and valve assembly) and dip in water to see the leak. Dry thoroughly after.

I had exactly the same. Was killing me using the stirrup pump every other day until it was sorted.
