So I've researched until I'm all researched out, and come up with my shortlist for my new rifle.
Initially to be used for garden plinking/zeroing/pellet selection, club range & target (general 'getting used to it' type use).
Further down the line, when I've got it sorted, pest control and possibly initial look-see at FT/HFT.
I'm thinking .177 right now, and as I'm a bit old fashioned I want a rifle that looks like a traditional rifle (Walnut stock as opposed to TAC bits).
My shortlist is (In order of favourite...)

1. Daystate Huntsman Revere
2. Weirauch HW100
3. Air Arms S510

I've tried to keep it short so my brain doesnt get fried. Is this a good list to start getting around RFDs with? Am I missing anything that should definitely be on here? Is there anything on my list that should definitely not be on there?

Great list of guns👌
Whatever you end up choosing will be a fantastic rifle!

I was thinking go with the Revere in .177 now, then look at HW100 for .22 in the future if/when needed.
Are you looking at buying new or used ? I'm looking at getting back into air rifles after a long break of ten years ish and would be paper punching at a club range, occasional hft unless I get the bug when it would become a more regular thing and I will be ratting. My last rifle was an HW 100 and I loved it for it's consistent accuracy but it was fairly heavy to carry around a large farm so would buy the new X version possibly the carbine version to save weight.

There are some good deals on HW100’s at the moment as the X version has recently been released. Saw a new .177 carbine sporter (KS) online for under £800. Shout count not great, but they’re lovely guns.

Revere comb is too low in my opinion as the action is tall and the magazine necessitates medium or high scope mounts.

More than likely, but you really ought to try one as when I did my eye was looking straight at the safety catch and to get my eye aligned with a scope on high mounts my chin would have been barely touching the stock.

Not many folk seem to use 50mm scopes these days to be honest.

Yep I intend to try them all before I decide. 👍
I'm very surprised that not many folk use 50mm Scopes these days though.
50mm was the minimum for dusk/dawn/lamping pest control when I was 'keepering not too long ago.

i have an optisan cp 44 on my revere with bkl mounts on,,,plenty of room for magazine to slide in easy you guys are terrible you got me looking for a weihrauch again ha

Good list, I have two of the three you mention, can’t go wrong with either of your choices but as @Mort says, shoulder them all and see what fits best👍🏻

I think glass/coating technology has come on quite a lot, and a lot are using digital scopes for low light conditions now, but don’t even go down that rabbit hole 😂

As @Mort said, they’re all great guns, just get the one you like most after trying them all.

Any of the three rifles would be a great choice, as for comb hight look at the Revere Safari, and don't be put off by the stock, it is wood, or the S510 Ultimate Sporter, on both the comb hight can be adjusted to fit yourself.
I bought a Revere Safari, secondhand and have not used the S510 much since, as the 510 has more weight to it,
I will probably sell it on at a later date.

I'd agree with Varminter about the Revere comb being very low. I remember stating this when it came out.
They just used the stock from the Regal, which had a much lower breech

They "corrected" this by introducing the Safari stock, which looks a bit of an afterthought

But having said that, I'd probably still go for the revere (safari) out of the listed rifles
