Feeling the pinch?.

To be honest, I think it's a growing sign of the times. Everything essential is going up in price, gas, electricity, water, community charges, food and much more is rising in price by a far greater level than rises to the minimum living wage. I think working people have a complete lack of confidence in the way the economy is going and are getting worried about how they'll manage as this year progresses. I think many are also becoming concerned at their job prospects given how many companies we see closing down and or cutting staff levels. In general terms I think people have a great deal less disposable income year on year.

I've sold a Hawke Airmax 4-12-40 recently.. but that was probably to cheap with the B.k.l mounts it had.

Have to slightly disagree with the 50mm objectives not being popular, this is by far the most popular size at my one local range....& There still selling for ridiculous money at all the big rifle dealer's & optical specialists.
I've bought an even larger one in a 5-25-56 vortex strike eagle to replace the ongoing one.
Ive bought two 50mm Hawke scopes for a lot less than what a 40mm would have cost me.

I think its definitely a skint time of year for most. like said above, most will be paying a tax bill come january, and most got paid early aswell so feeling the pinch. Ive just made a purchase, only worked out as I ended up having a load of invoices paid late due to xmas. Still shouldnt of done it, but I decided over christmas I wanted a decent breakbarrel to go with my underlever :ROFLMAO:

Things seem slow to me and I've seen stuff at very fair prices that doesn't sell, I'm not even putting stuff up for sale at the minute. I've had offers I'd be embarrassed to make for some nice stuff I've priced fairly, but then you just need one for it to sell. It's just that the guys trying to get something for nothing get a bit wearing, it definitely puts me off

Yep, I'm always open to offers but not pishtake ones and like the option of being able to say no thanks to someone. That's not a dig at the offer I had on a mod I sold the other day, only said no because it had just been listed. 24 hours later I would have said yes.

If you price something too low you'll still get someone wanting more knocked off.

I had a few things up over the last 12 months and even things I was basically giving away - potential buyers were still trying to negotiate… it doesn’t seem worth selling anymore as everybody is after a bargain
Well nobody likes paying top dollar on anything.
Sometimes you have to, but unless its super rare, there is normally a better deal if you have the patience

Spot on fella👌

Probably the size that's putting people off, 50mm objectives aren't as popular these days.

But what's this sales section you've mentioned 🤔

I jest, some stuff is still selling, a bloke spent £300+ on pellets at the weekend and I thought no chance so tried for the pellets I'd want.

There's loads of posts in the graveyard and the smaller Hawke has just sold 🤷‍♂️
Whats this sales section 🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣 genious 😄😄😄🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣

Where were those pellets being sold?

Any good deals???

Im a bit silly sometimes 🤭

Sometimes if theres something i dont need or massively want i put cheeky offers in, but i know its not clever 🤭

Like the time i bought the acog off you,
Up for 35 and i offered 30 🤭

But then i quickly thought, wtf am i doing, messing around for a sky diver 😐🤭 cheeky twat 🤭

What a silly sausage eh 😄
So do you still put in "cheeky offers" and manage the guilt okay🙂.
