FAC and SGC Certificate Questions

When my boy applied for his FAC (Coterminous), one of his referees was his Boss. Told by Firearms to get another 😱
my son used his boss last year and West Yorks were fine 👍
I guess it depends on how well your boss might know you. In some large firms, the people at either end of the scale may never meet.

It's always been that way as far as I know, and I've been in a club over 25yrs!
This isn't a rule mentioned anywhere in the regs, I suspect you're mis-remembering and your refs have been accepted anyway as they've known you for long enough, club rep or not.

If it was that way club probation would effectively be at least two years due to probability a new member wouldn't know any club officials already. It's obviously not correct.

Club management have to support a grant and will also likely be contacted upon renewal. These are references of a sort but don't count towards the two the applicant provides.
