Eye relief on Hawke air max scope, having to lean forward slightly to get a full clear image.

Hi There.
As above, I wondered about moving the scope back slightly, as there’s not much room to move back (about a centimeter) on the front rail, due to it being a HW 100 and the gap where the mag sits.
If I move my head forward I can see a clear full image.
Any thoughts, as it’s useable but a little awkward with having to move the head forward, and I feel could be better.
I assume I will have to re zero the scope should it prove beneficial.
Thank you.

Can you not move the front scope mount on the scope to allow it to sit a little further back? What scope are you using?
Can you post a pic of the gun with scope?

Thanks they look a more compact scope, but maybe it would work with mine.
I’m going to try moving the scope back as far as possible, and see if it improves things or not and will look to your set up, or the set back mounts.
Thank you for making the effort, to show me what and how you resolved the same problem.

Often wondered, my scopes are fine but can those set back mounts be set forward? I can’t see a reason why not….

You look to have a Pard mount on there, when fitting with a NV007 mount, I expect to lean forward a little, that is more tolerable (to me) than leaning back, unable to hold cleanly with the Pard fitted.

Yes, they can be used in any way that works for you. Might look a bit strange at first, but you've got to be a bit inventive when the magazine port is in the way of a standard scope mounting solution.

Thank you. 👍👍👍

Having fitted a picatinny rail that runs over the magazine port I can say there is no issue there.

Fitting the SSL is similar and doesn't restrict use of the rifle one bit.
I did exactly the same and was about to reply when I read @Andy from Sandy reply. The full length picatinny rail came supplied with my new HW100.

Why use double screw ?
Use single, BKL come to mind 🤗

These are good if rail space is tight...
