Epic Airguns

It did occur to me when I read here about AAR negging an RTI that there was maybe a falling out between the parties. I'll be interested to see if there's anything to substantiate my musing.
From what I’ve seen Leicestershire Airguns now have an RTI Uk web page .
But City Air Weapons are still on RTI proper as importer ?

Anyway ,looking forward to see what the Epics are like .Certainly look the part.😎

Probably the closest RFD to me but I've never set foot in the place and am not likely to now. He was in Solihull until not too long ago, very close to where I live, but he moved to Hockley. That was one thing but he found himself inside the congestion charge zone, which has probably given him a fair bit of cause for regret.

I wasn't much one for driving into the city centre before but I sure as hell ain't paying twelve quid to drive into the craphole.

I believe Highland Outdoors are the UK Rti importers

Hence the slating from aar and wanting to push their next victim I guess

...lots of interest in the Netherlands for this airgun too...personally, I am still waiting for the RTI MORA, which has, so far, failed to materialise...unfortunately...

Just seen the vid on these from Vector Air, I mean AAR :) they do look very nice indeed.
The main draw back and unfortunately it's a familiar one is that these are obviously designed for big power, that's all good for FAC.
That means some alterations will have to be made for sub 12, and that will mean shoddy workmanship/bodges.

Been some months coming but looks like the rifles from the new Epic Airguns - a Czech company with roots in Airgun Technology and Kalibrgun - are hitting the stores. Not sure who the UK distributor will be but if you like what the East Euro guys are doing these merit some investigation. I for one am VERY excited about their offering and can't wait to receive the EA Tactical Long in .22 FAC due to arrive next week.

Is this the epic one

I have watched the AAR review a couple of times. The gun seems to be excellent. .... except for the "ping" when it is fired.
That would drive me mad after a few mins.

Phew..... that has saved me a few quid. 🤣

Really doesnt ping badly at all tbh. Not like the other Czech bullpup designs where you have the hammer hitting right under ear a la Uragan or Vulcan. Those pings are obnoxious. In FAC at least. Wouldnt worry about that being a nuisance with this one.

Are vector the only importers?I here horrible stories about them butchering rifles to fit anti tampering stuff.

@Jimmypie are Crawley getting these via Vector or via another avenue ?

Vector air are currently the only importers , I’ve seen no evidence of “butchering” , if I had then we wouldnt have them , the only thing I’ve seen is what I’ve shown you in the picture I put up , the externally adjustable reg has been turned 90 degrees so it is sitting under the Arca rail ( which is bolted on ) so the reg is not visible .

Btw I used the word butchering from some other members posts about what vector air do to them
Willing to be educated here👍

Well.... I have a Vulcan 3 and there is absolutely no ping.
There is, however, an audible ping from the Epic in the video. If the camera's microphone can pick it up, it must be hell when an ear is right on top of it.

Also, I like to be able to fine tune a rifle to suit the pellets. . . It seems Vector Air has blocked that option.
A shame really. ☹️
