Good morning,

Can I pick your brains please? I am coming back to the sport after a long time away (20 + years). I've dug out my webley longbow and I'm wanting to mount a picatinny red dot on it that I've got sat on a shelf in the garage. I fancy doing some back garden plinking (lucky enough to have a large garden, good neighbours and I've sorted a suitable backstop and after some research on here I've made a silent pellet trap (thanks for that one!)

Anyway! I've tried to find a suitable dovetail to picatinny rail for the Webley but I've ended up going down a wormhole reading about the inconsistencies of Webley dovetails. Long and short of it I'm more confused now than when I started. Can any of you fine people nudge me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Once your adapter is properly mounted you should have no further problems. You might need a recoil stud through the adapter to prevent movement under recoil but a decent adapter should not have problems.

I have an Eaglevision dovetail/pictainny adapter on the FX Bobcat.
I wouldn't use any other.

Looks like I'll be going for the eaglevision. I'd not come across them before. Thanks all for your input. Really appreciate it 👍

I bought an eagle vision dovetail to picatinny conversion rail a few weeks ago. It’s very well made and very compact and my scope fits
perfectly. They make an 11mm and a 13mm version so just be careful to check the size of your dovetail before ordering.

I've put the Eaglevision on my HW100. It's very well made. Like the Dr Bob's conversion rail for the Rapid, it's milled as opposed to extruded, giving far better tolerances.

Well, I'd say that was a pretty overwhelming thumbs up for it eaglevision. I'll dig it out tomorrow and measure up and get ordering. I'll let you know how I get on and maybe try and get a picture up once its all set up. Although I'm not the best with technology...

Don't forget to do the end Grub screws up (easily missed), not just the side ones... no need for the tension screws from above to be used (saves marking the rifle)... once the scope is attached and torqued up...ITS PROPER SECURE 🐼👍🏻
