I always find the Weihrauch plastic pads slippery in the shoulder. A good quality rubber one would make a nice edition.
Anything aftermarket ( of which there are a truckload), will be " grind to fit", to customize to your particular stock. G.T.F. is a great excuse to re - finish the stock, as you can fit pad to a very precise blending, when pad is mounted to stock. Without re - finishing, a special jig & bench linisher is required( best) to get comb/ toe angles correct.I always find the Weihrauch plastic pads slippery in the shoulder. Why would they bother? It's not in their manufacturing domain and there are literally shedloads on the market already.Thank you Chouchin66, I wonder if someone like Brit seals could design one.
Have a peek in a shop that sells CF rifle/ Shotguns, or indeed, Brownells U.K. - names to look for are Pachmayr, Outers, Whiteline, Morgan, Winchester, Wegu,....Other than the Bisley one which one can you recommend ?
Not their bailiwick, my friend.Thank you Chouchin66, I wonder if someone like Brit seals could design one.
Cheers Bighit, Nath refinished my stock not long ago and I'll probably do more harm than good. I may try another HW pad first because 40 years of use has given it a sheen.Have a look at J S Ramsbottom but be aware a lot are out of stock and if they do have one you like they will need grinding to fit as they wont be a direct fit unless you land lucky. You may find one similar to a Weihrauch one.
