I just needed to vent!

Really started enjoying pistol shooting. I was quite happy with my results.
Wanted to get better. Thought id treat the gun.
Got a TBT kit. Got an Aussie seal.
after stripping it & finding a piston that can only be described as an abortion. Waited even longer waiting for a replacement. Ordered a new seer that looked worn (the one that catches the piston)
Also Ordered the newer replacement pin with circlips that holds that assembly in.
Bits turn up, I get to work.
The very important pin in the safety bar has got pulled up into the hole.
Duck my actual life.
Much more faffing and finally I think its sorted!!
No its not!! I have gone from 8 out of 10 shots in the black at 15M to 5 or six.... actually hitting the targets.
Yes targets plural as some are randomly hitting the target above/below 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
A shotgun would have more precision!

Im too depressed with it all so leave it.
I look at it & realise the breach seal is in desperate need of replacement.
A HA that must be the cause of my issues.
Dash out to my local gunshop, purchase a genuine Weihrauch seal for £1!!!
Get home &.... the F*cking ba*tard thing doesn't fit!!
Turns out the older ones had a different size. Thank you so much Weihrauch.
Order the right size!
Nope that didn't sort it!!! 🤬

Now my friend calls in a favour the Jammy (insert prefered expletive here) has found a scandalously cheap HW97 KT thats near my end of the country so I pick it up for him.
Driving off feeling like a thief.
While hes doing research he sees on a TBT video about the 97. An explanation about whats most likely causing my (at leist one of my) issue/s
Not enough bumslide on the side of the seal.
(My fps were gradually dropping shot after shot.)
At last!!! So pull it apart and again the heavy duty thick paperclip gets pulled up.
F*** you you F*****g C**t
Now while trying to sort this i some how end up with it locked & unable to fire.
Brilliant well done.
Attempting to disassemble it, it dry fires.
I was expecting that obviously.
But despite the top/cocking leaver only being attached by the arms the back of it has shattered!
The only replacements I can find, apart from being more than I can really spair have fiber optic sights.
(Its an old one i want to keep it right)
Or they cant guarantee if it will say .177 or .22 on the side.
Having vented i feel nominally better.
If you read this far then I do apologise.

No, I Feel your pain though, but in all honesty it’s this that can keep me interested sometimes.
I know it sounds daft when you’re pulling your hair out at the time, but if it was easy everyone would do it 😉

Most weeks…

I currently have 5 air rifles, only two zeroed, and both need tweaks and proper testing at range to establish hold overs/make sure BC is set up properly.

Just put a kit in a springer, yet to test shoot it, need guides for another. I love tinkering and customising but sometimes I wonder why I bother and always know I’d be better off spending my time shooting and improving field craft than going down yet another airgun rabbit hole…

This time last year I just had one PCP and was happy and actually shooting 🤦🏻‍♂️

Good luck with the pistol, it’ll come right in the end, and there are some great folks on here who I’m sure will be along with offers of help in a minute 👍🏼

Youve got more patience than I. I dont bother with them, i just pay someone else to do it because if I did it, id end up with no working guns. Theyd be smashed against the wall. Hence this pastime is expensive for me especially when you buy what is supposed to be a high end springer and it twangs like a bitch. Sort it out weihrauch!!!!
