How do you display your pistols
These are old jewellery boxes that have been altered to display a pistol

They look very smart, old paint boxes are good donors for pistol cases also, its nice to get away from card and plastic,

I was given some nice wall cabinets used to show Matchbox models. I changed the the hardboard backs for plywood, lined the inside and sprayed the sides black. I have one more to do for the WWII pistols.

That’s an amazing idea. I wish I’d have thought of that before I sold most of my pistols

It's nice to have a collection or collections on a wall display but I worry you can have too many. Mine dont get used, just nice to look at but if there are more restrictions on replica or realistic airguns. We can end up losing them, we already have to dispose of the blank firer's, I will lose 3. I notice some collectors are selling off some of their pistols ..............so do you sell now or lose them in the future? Who knows!

I think the airguns should be fine for a while at least as they can’t be converted as far as I’m aware.
I was always lead to believe that the reason they are made monkey metal is so they can’t be converted.

I had a massive collection (over 100) but I sold loads of to keep the wife happy and to free up some cash to start my business (I now sell antique swords and bayonets)

Where do the collections end? I started with 2 blank firer's in the early 80's bought at a fair in Eltham in London. But just 2 years ago went wild and bought as many as I could get. Air pistols, air rifles, de-acts, section 58's, SMG's, there never used , just taking up space all over the house. Just one more case on the wall and that's it. Just done a mock up of how it might look complete with medals. I dont want anymore....................well maybe just the 1!
Would love to have a mini museum for the public to see. These are the next best thing if you cannot get the real thing. Theres nothing up here in the North where you can view military arms etc . You have to go to the Midlands to see the real thing. Would anyone else want the public to view their collections?

Great collection. A Thompson would look great with those WW2 guns, pity that Umarex only make them with the plastic stock.

As it happens I have a couple of American SMG's, an early Thomson and a Grease gun. The grease gun I was given was green, had to be completely strip it down to spray it black.
