Hello All,

I recently bought a broken Diana side lever with a brocken threaded cocking rod. Does anyone know where I could source one of these? My searches have come up with nothing. My plan was to convert this into am Ultra Carbine.

Ultimately it's just a length of 5mm threaded rod, if I can get the thread right.

Thanks

Pretty sure they're threaded tube, not rod

They generally kink / bend like that, when someone's had them apart, and not kept the ends screwed in to the same position
Even one rotation of one of the ends, mean they're under too much tension when the cocking arm is closed

Used is your best bet

Thanks. The one in this one is definitely a rod. I will order a length of M5 threaded rod to see if its the same.

the factory rod is threaded on the ends only and the rod is a tough piece of steel
i have a damaged 48-52 and put the bent rod in a vise and pound on it to straighten sort of

Chambers lists them

That looks like a length of all thread which is cheap mild steel that has been used as a replacement for the original , I would google high tensile steel studs for a replacement unit if spares are not available .

Thank you. You're right, no doubt.
