If your first reg 185 then surly it needs filling at 185 . I thought you first reg should be 150 bar and 30 bar difference to your second reg
The answer to that would be,shoot a full string over the chrono to look at it's behaviour.Got a question, recharging the bottle to 250bar
Whens a good time to recharge the bottle reg back to 250BAR. Would you say when it gets to about roughly 165BAR on the bottle reg?
- 580cc bottle charged @250BAR
- front reg set @185BAR
- rear reg set @135BAR
They say minimum 30-40barIf your first reg 185 then surly it needs filling at 185 . I thought you first reg should be 150 bar and 30 bar difference to your second reg
I have one those rails, although my Impact is sub-12 so the recoil is very low I can say that just being able to move the bipod right to the front makes a huge difference to the balance and stability of the whole thing. Not to mention that it gives protection to the bottle because I never felt good about resting the bottle on something to shoot. And yes if you wanted to attach things to the side rails then you can do that.Arca Rail 2 - Arca Swiss from "AIRGUN 101" not (SGC)!
I think you can add weights on the side rails to try and minimise the recoil. Ideally I bought it for mounting on a more sturdy camera bipod.
Any ideas on how to loose some of that JOLT?

I've just started one up about BRK GHOST.Tony, just let this one go quiet and die. Choose a really good and interesting title for the new one. No other action required!
Hi FX shooterIf any slug is going to work then H&N 32 or 34 gr . These are the most accurate in most fx guns in .22 & .25 .
I find 950-980 is the a good speed for slugs
I can’t spin the barrel round on mk2 and I still have the pellet probHi FX shooter
Re: Impact M3
Just purchased some more H&N 32 & 34gn slugs.
Going by what you mentioned a while back regarding speeds of 950-980 FPS, does this apply to the H&N slugs in our conversation?
Also an interesting and possibly silly question I've been meaning to ask you was, if you were to switch from slugs to pellets,
Thanks
- would you spin the barrel round for the pellet port if using pellets
- would you also swap over the slug probe to the pellet probe
Tony
Oh sorry, I didnt realize you had a MK2I can’t spin the barrel round on mk2 and I still have the pellet prob
Only way to reduce the recoil is turn the power down. Its physics opposite and equal reaction.Morning all
What a gorgeous day yesterday was for zeroing and plinking about. I took the advantage and went over to my mate Chris's 3 acre plot and managed to get a blinding zero @50 yards. Also tried a hundred and managed to get a 25mm group using a ZAN 37gn slug doing 926 FPS. Success at last.
Anyway, whilst mucking about I decided to try out the ZAN 35gn slugs too. They started off a bit wild and spreading by about 1.5-2" intermittantly @50 yards until I realised that they were travelling at around 951 FPS. Turned them down to around 928 FPS and by god it was another success. So for now I've left it with the ZAN 35gn slugs. I always thought the heavier the slug the more speed required to send it accurately?
I've gotta say, there is recoil with this rifle, so the next thing on my agenda is to try and loose it as much as possible. Last night I purchased an FX Impact Arca Rail 2 - Arca Swiss from "AIRGUN 101" not (SGC)!

21 weeks is crazy. I would of asked for the money back after a couple of weeks
Top Man, thanks for info,You could spin the port around (if the rifle will take it - Crown Mk1 and Mk2 can do it, for example), but as I understand it, the massive port with the bar is for 0.30” and above. The bar just stops the chance of the pellet / slug falling out downwards as it is loaded.
The slug probe (or pin probe) puts all the air into the centre of the projectile rather than across the rear ‘evenly’ which is supposed to work better for slugs. Any of the probes and/or transfer ports will work with pellets and slugs to a degree. What is important is, do you have a STX liner or a STX heavy, the later being for slugs…
