Am I correct in thinking DMs older than 12months have been deleted... with no prior notification?
All the exchange of info regarding sorting out power issues and tuning down the pan?

I shall be more than p1ssed off if correct. 🤬
I'm sure there's plenty of sh1te than could be dumped before tearing the guts out of the forum.

Come on, Bill. You aren't paying for space on the server. If I see a good piece of advice, I copy it and save it as a Word file.

I’ve tried searching for it but ‘DMs’ isn’t accepted by the search function but I’m afraid to say there was a thread about it a while back.

If it's info for the good of all, is it not better on the open forum?

Discussion of tuning is banned on open forum. Bill was a great help to me by DM in sorting out a gun. I'm also devastated if this be true.
Had I been given notice, I'd have transferred the relevant DMs to my computer.

I think it's power adjustment that's banned not tuning.
Dubious semantics? When your springs have shattered and the valve knackered, thePCP process is repair, tweak, set power, optimise air use, optimise wide sweet spot, use Lane 5 bar step, etc.
As the 4 tend to be interactive, I'd call that tuning. On the other hand, adjusting a springer for smooth and minimum recoil also blends with power as you tweak springs, piston shims etc.
I don't believe that tuning and power change can be separated by much.

Most of the lost info includes power adjustment but there's another reason for ono-to-one advice. Open forum discussions can attract a lot of contradictory advice - some rubbish, but some just a matter of a different approach - which often ends up with the recipient just being confused.

It's not the deletion that I'm annoyed about, it's the lack of notification. I saved a lot from AGF1. I transferred technical stuff to AGF2. Having to go back to my archives to recreate info, transfer it to another device, and post it again isn't going to happen. Its not just advice on methods, it includes the settings for various guns I don't own or are never llkely to own.
