I'm still waiting on a special order HW100 and selling my DRS, in the mean time I'm looking for something different. Been looking at the Daystate Wolverine R as one option, be interested to hear from any one who owns/have owned one. Also the "C" smaller cylinder version, how many shots per fill can be expected?

I have a Wolverine RC and get at least 140 shots per fill. Very happy with the build quality and accuracy of this rifle. I didn't get it for range use but I do take it with me to check it's dialled in nicely from time to time and I generally shoot for an evening without refilling while those shooting along side me have topped up once or more.

Have the C type Wolv R (technically the Wifes). Accuracy is as good if not better than my Redwolf . She went for the C type for its looks and the balance. Only used for bench target shooting and will provided 170 plus shots from fill. More than enough for her. I may be wrong but think there may be differences in the max fill pressure as the marked on the side of the block so number of shots may vary gun to gun. Ours is 230 bar but I only fill it to 200 or less as and when the donor cylinder is getting low. Apart from needing to renew the washer under the pressure gauge it has to date be faultless.

They are brilliant rifles. I have the Hilite.
Keep your eyes peeled, mine may be going in the sales section soon.

They are fantastic guns and my only criticism is the cheekweld due to the need for high mounts to clear the magazine. I always found myself slightly hovering over the cheekpiece to get the correct eye alignment through the scope. However there were recently a small number of Wolverine R’s released with the adjustable sapphire stock which is similar to a Redwolf stock. I got hold of one of these and for me it has made a great gun even more perfect.
However as with everything it is worth trying one as you may not have any issues.

i had the hilite with a walnut stock very accurate and not pellet fussy

I bought a sapphire with the adjustable bits it makes a good gun great gun it's my first daystate and probably won't be the last

I have the Wolverine R Hi Lite Forester .177
Superbly accurate and consistent,I fill it to 250 bar every time and from shot number 1 through to shot number 400 it doesn’t miss a beat.I use Daystate Sovereigns but to be honest it’s accurate with all the quality pellets I’ve tried through it.
I did fit it out with the Huggett shroud and Snipe moderator as I think it’s a better system (and shorter) than the original shroud,it’s as quiet as any pcp I’ve heard down at my club range with this set up.
My previous pcp was a Regal HR,I only changed to the Wolverine R because of the better shot count,I would choose the Wolverine again but I also regret trading in the Regal, should have had both 😏

Decent guns, a bit heavy for hunting in the bottle version, I'm not sure how much you save with the cylinder one, but it can't be that much? I've found them reliable, consistent and accurate, I like the dark laminate stocks which I think looks great. For most uses they are very good, but the triggers are just a bit heavy for BR, although I'm sure with a strip, polish and light lube they could be made much better.

Those Sapphire stocks are nice, makes me want a Wolverine Sapphire as im not a fan of the standard wolverine thumbhole stock but my Krait L is currently doing the business so really struggling to justify getting a sapphire.

This would be my choice . Had a brand spanker and sold it after about 2 months as hated the poor for me cheek weld.
The action was great , just the stock was poop for me .

The Wolverine is one of my favourite rifles and if I had to choose between it and my RedWolf I would be hard pressed.

Love my wolverine r it's a .22 laminate hilite never missed a beat in the 5/6 years I've owned it . Probably in excess of 400 shots per fill . Lovely 👍👍

The new Saphire stock could now make the Wolverine R the ultimate gun…?

Finding one used is proving tricky!!
The Sapphire stocked standard versions may be difficult to find as my RFD said there were only around 30 released by Daystate to use up the remaining stocks from the Sapphire limited edition.
