I'm thinking of buying a Red Ryder but what are your opinions on the similar offerings from other manufacturers ? Do you have one or one of the alternatives ? I would love a vintage one but will probably end up going new !

Theres the new Leiva pcp rifle too?
But, IMHO you can't beat the classic DRR for just pure fun, plus it takes 500+ bb's, so you never run out of ammo!!!

Leiva pcp rifle , I had to look it up but WOW ! it really is something different and looks amazing! The only problem is I could get the Red Ryder, Marlin Lever, action,Lil Duke and a wagon load of BB's for the same price ! The Mrs says I need to get rid of some of my airguns but my brain says get more !

Follow your brain! 😁

I love my Daisy Red Ryder, the only down side is that its a kids gun, and would be even better if the stock were slightly bigger. It is wood /metal.
I also have the Marlin https://www.pellpax.co.uk/airguns/a...n-lever-action-rifle-4-5mm-bb-air-rifle/41210 which is a more comfortable size but is a lot of plastic and some metal.
I also have the daisy 880 powerlinehttps://www.pellpax.co.uk/airguns/air-rifles/spring-powered-air-rifles/daisy-powerline-880-air-rifle-177/20616e this fires BB and pellets, and again is a lot of plastic and metal.

All good fun, the Daisy powerline able to damage the cans best. All relatively accurate and not BB fussy
