Lovely craft @Mickyp 👍🏻
I admire all craft … but leatherwork is right up there for me, you and others on here are really gifted.

Just finished the custom sheath for the
Cold steel Natchez bowie
Used a beautiful 4mm 10 to 11oz
Natural full grain veg tan leather
Dyed it myself
Oiled, top coat then a nice polish
Turned out absolutely beautiful
Hope you like

Update on this beautiful sheath
All sewn up
Edges burnished and polished
Oiled and polished
Ready for fitting up tomorrow then its off to its new home
Cracking job mate, people dont always realise amount of work goes into these,
Especially the stitching.
exellent work buddy.

Thanks mate, totally agree i love doing the hand stitching I think it’s a big part of it, it adds so much compared to machine stitching 🤝👍🏻
Respect mate,
I hate it TBH, have never really mastered it,
I normally use leather lace braiding where possible,
if not then the sewing machine,

Beautiful work
Absolutely stunning mate
Funnily enough I have just managed get the pattern from tandy leather for the western rig, 357s colt 1911 and shoulder holster etc
That’s going be my next big thing a western rig
I have done sheaths for just over 2 years all self taught never done anything like leather craft at all before this
But I have always wanted to do a full western rig so I’m going bite the bullet lol
I’m going line the belt and holster but I know I have a big job only sewing by hand but I definitely think its going be worth it in the end
I’m heading towards something like this in the picture if I can

I look forward to seeing it finished Micky, seeing your current work pretty sure you wont find it too difficult, take your time and enjoy the progress and it will all come together,
I tend to put an aged style finish on most my work to be honest it does cover up some of my less tidy bits that occasionally crop up LOL!!
This is the last full western rig I did have done few holsters on their own.

Thats very nice indeed
I do like the lacing I watched a few on YouTube maybe one day i will give it a go 🫣
Definitely going take my time and just enjoy the process, I’m trying out little different ideas etc for the bullet loops so I get it right on the main belt, I’m very OCD so it plays on my mind if the slightest thing is out of place
But thanks and you do some very nice work yourself 🤝👍🏻
