Picked up a Nikko Targetmaster 1.25-5x20 to go on my quarterbore Fenman.

Never had one before, but it’s a curious little optic on reflection, it has a nice fine etched mil dot reticle and is not heavy but it’s not light either, weighs about 520g, the glass is clear and bright and turret clicks are very positive.

It makes you wonder what sort of target work it was designed for , as parallax is fixed at I believe 100 yards, and the low mag is odd for target work along with the mil dot reticle.

I’m quite pleased with it, but it does make me scratch my head as to its intended designed for use ……

You don’t see many of them about either .

Must be more for the powder burner community, The 100yard parallax seems a bit much for air rifles
If you are planning to shoot a sub 12 quaterbore at the 100yd parallax distance you might need a low mount at the back and a medium at the front😁😁
(Before anyone points it out JOKE, I know that wouldn't work😆)

Only low mag and 20mm objective, so any parallax error is very minimal if any at all.

Just seems odd to me, stuck it on my .177 RM100 for now, looked too modern on the Fenman 😂
