Crosman premier pellets

I do miss the Accupells of the 90's. They were the best of the .20cal and I had fond memories with them. So much so I held on to the remaining few tins.

I have bought several boxes of boxed Premiers from NM Products last year. They still have stock of them in 177's. They were best performers in some of my rifles so I stocked up.

As @ChrisLX200 points out, some batches seem to benefit from a wash and lube. This was what HFT shooters used to do as a norm and they were winning trophies with boxed Premiers. My own experience, washing and lubing can tighten groups.

I note you are looking at .22's. Again, in my own experience, I had have exceptional results with the 177 and 20cal across several rifles. I have not had any good results in 22 so I don't shoot them at all in 22. Of course, this really depends on your own rifle.

Yeah, looking at 22, so 14.3.
They're only to go through my 2250. Been using superdomes, but now I've finally run out of them, I see that the superdomes are no longer the cheap purchase!
So I'm not looking for pellet on pellet accuracy and I doubt I'll ever shoot the 2250 further than 20yds anyway, so I thought I'd go for cheaper options.
I'll let you all know how I get on next week at some point.
I only ordered a tin, and some points that were cheap, so if all fails I'll just spend some time shooting cans. It's a win win really.

Apparently they have made new dies.
The latert die 2 boxed 10.5gn Premiers from Ramsbottoms are pretty awesome out of my Cricket 2 but then again, it is equally as good with QYS and JSB.
Boxed Premiers come out of one die.
Tinned Ultra Magnums are from mixed dies.

the 1250 are still available
the story goes that the boxes were filled first and the cans after that and that the boxes had high quality pellets
both the cans and boxes were always filled with lead swarf
Only available in 10.5...no mas 7.9, for some years.

Hello all.
What is the difference between crosman premier ultra magnum and crosman domed?
Both look the same to me and are the same weight.
Is it worth paying extra for the Premier or is it just a marketing ploy?
Easy answer - they're not the same weight or size. Crosman Domed are 7.9gr, Crosman Premier Domed Ultra Magnum are 10.5gr
I have a few tins of each, the Premier Magnums have a noticeably longer skirt to bring the weight up, otherwise the overall design, dimensions and quality appear identical.

I'm meaning the 22. Both are listed as 14.3, whether ultra magnum or domed.
But it doesn't really matter now. I got the order through from js Ramsbottom yesterday and they're the Premier ultra magnums anyway which makes me think that the 22 versions are exactly the same as the 22 domed, just different tins.
And so far they're working pretty well.

Ah I see, yes that's very confusing. Their marketing people are obviously having one too many liquid lunches recently.
Their weightier 22 offering appears to be the Domed Ultra Heavy. Love the total inconsistency of it all :ROFLMAO:

Yes I agree. It's been a long time since I bought crosman pellets and it was a lot harder than it should have been 😂
But, at least if anyone else is wondering, js Ramsbottom has a good price on them and they are the ultra magnums.

Thanks mate. Thought it would just be new naming really, but I see js Ramsbottom crosman domed are a few quid cheaper than uttings premier domed (labeled as ultra magnum for whatever reason), so it got me thinking if there was a difference quality wise.
The premier domes are 10.5gr, the 'crosman domed' weigh around 7.4gr, Accupell weigh 7.9gr (old crosman premier lights in effect). My Krals really like crosman pellets as does my S200 including the cheap 7.4gr tinned ones...

There is the weight difference for the 177 pellets but for 22, crosman domed and crosman premier ultra magnum are both 14.3g.

I already answered this for you in post #14…….

In .22 calibre there is absolutely zero difference between the 14.3 grain domes no matter what’s written on the tin.
I know mate. I was answering the post above.

Can’t fault these (14.5gr) in my Leshiy 0.22 but not tried beyond 30yds. But they stack nicely at 25yds.

So far so good. These are only for my co2 fun rifles, just cheaper than superdomes now and I don't want to pay premium just to plink at 20 yards. But pretty good quality. Even the pointy ones do well in my 2250 and they're only 9 quid a tin.

The same pellets in 177 are total sh1te mind. Don’t fall into that trap!

I've a wheelbarrow load of pest avians that would, if they could, strongly disagree with that statement...then again, perhaps not ?😊
