Flicking through channels last night and it was on again competing with The Great Escape for most appearances. The short scenes i watched assured me the “Wokies” have been cutting more shots like they do. Saw the original where on leaving a do , a couple of yobs ask for a light. Hogan produces his “This is a knife “ and proceeds to shred the baddies leather jacket. That was one of the first scenes cut. Later viewings showed just holding the knife and last night’s effort even cut most of that scene.
When he first arrived and was driven to some swanky hotel he asked the chauffeur what tribe he was from, now cut , and many more. Changed channels

That film is one of those that is always cut in some way or another, it's one that they'll put on any time of day and cut depending on when it's being shown.

The "censors scissors" have been too busy in many classic films.
Their woke sanitisation is pure vandalism and it destroys the enjoyment of the original work.

The censors might think they are being clever. . . They are wrong.

If some of the scenes in Croc Dundee were considered worthy of cutting out, just think what will happen when a John Wick film is shown in 20 years time, we will all be looking at a blank screen.

The question should be why do the majority let the minority get away with this, it’s an increasing trend
It’s affecting everything in our everyday life, the average person doesn’t want to be involved in all this nonsense but if they speak up the minorities scream discrimination, yes but why are WE the majority being discriminated against, for everyone appeased another is offended, the world has gone mad

I really hope this "woke" phase passes soon as it's ruining so much material, Lord of the rings: Rings of power on Amazon being a good example. If anyone is into gaming there's a serious pushback by gamers and even something called gamer gate happening. Gamers have had enough of various agendas being pushed on them that companies are on the verge of bankruptcy and the wests gaming industry is on the verge of collapsing with Asian industry more or less taking over, especially the Chinese based companies/development studios as they don't pander to certain things.

Back in college when I was studying media I coined the phrase "adjusted for family viewing" or "ruined" as I called it. There are lots of instances where the censoring of films has either made the film stupid or in one famous case worse.

Examples:
Die Hard 2 - a lot of swearing was trimmed to make it a 15 despite being extremely gory.
The Thing - the famous scene when a character has a cardiac arrest and during the resus the head splits off from the body, sprouts legs and walks off. Kurt Russell understandibly says "You gotta be effing kidding me."

ITV decided the F word was utterly inappropriate and cut it out.

Deliverance - the film has an infamous rape scene. On the BBC the scene was trimmed and later when the characters are deciding what to do with the body one says "this isn't one of your effing games". The Beeb thought the effing wasn't appropriate.

The Wild Bunch. At the climax a captured member of the bunch has his throat cut which is the motivation for the final shoot out. Yep ITV cut the throat cut leaving the shoot out with no point.

Another Peckinpah, Straw Dogs. The BBFC trimmed the rape scene because it went on too long. The result gave the impression the woman was enjoying it.

Thing is none of these films are "family films" so why on earth edit them?

I saw abit of Croc Dundee 2 last night. Within a few mins I'd noticed some trims which made the scenes impossible to follow.

It's supposed to be for the Good of everyone But it's the exact opposite (something very sinister going on here me thinks)

I've noticed this too and it really annoys me. Even films like Mrs Doubtfire, Planes, Trains & Automobiles have all been chopped and never to be seen as they were intended. I now find the film on my Android box and watch it from that without the adverts too. British TV is now the pits. Are the cuts to do with the scheduling or political correctness or both. I watched the new GladiatorII film on New Years eve on the same box.............no adverts, no cuts.......just as it was intended and really enjoyed the film.

If they are clipping Crocodile Dundee imaging what they would do to the classic film Blazing Saddles . . . . . MADNESS
Watched the Dam Busters yesterday and the dogs name had been dubbed to Trigger, the world has truly gone mad.

Cutting bits out is not new, although obviously the wokerati have made it worse. They may be trimmed simply to get the thing onto a video or later, a DVD.

I've long wanted a full length DVD of the 1968 'Charge of the light brigade', but have so far been unsuccessful.
