Compressed Air Sticker

Question: does anyone put the compressed air sticker on the back of their car when carrying a PCP and or Air tank?

I have just found a magnetic one that must have been sent when I bought my carbon bottle.

I have never put one on my car in all my years of shooting and never known anyone to have one on theirs.

Diver friend of mine said in case of a car accident you should have one on to indicate to rescue services a potential risk, and car insurance can/may get a bit funny .
I just chuck a magnetic one on the boot just in case.

Definitely! The magnetic ones can easily be applied and removed and I think it's only fair to let rescue services know about the potential bomb in your vehicle, especially if you are carrying a dive bottle. I have a feeling it may even be a legal requirement. Others may know better about that.

I’ve got a magnetic one which I move from my garage door to my car when I move the bottle.

Your insurance likely requires it and in the case of an emergency anyone on site will appreciate knowing there’s a 300bar tank in the boot.

A shooter on another forum had one on his car and he was in an accident . The attending fire team who had to cut him out of the wreckage said well done to him for putting it on the vehicle. It was a magnetic one also.

AFAIK it's a legal requirement for commercial vehicles to display a warning sign when carrying compressed air and other gas cylinders. As mentioned, important as a warning to the emergency services attending traffic incidents and to comply with company vehicle insurance.
Would obviously also provide useful info for the emergency services attending an incident involving a privately owned vehicle containing a compressed air cylinder.
Can well imagine it could create problems with a privately owned vehicle insurance claim too.

Never really thought about it before, but it can't do any harm and can only do good. I may get one for my next car if I find I am driving with a charged cylinder in it.

I had one years ago but the bloke at the car wash removed it with his lance during the pre wash without telling me ,haven’t bothered since .
Something worth considering though for those with a magnetic variant .
That and telling them not to spray a reverse camera if you’ve got one , as it buggers it up .
Not that I use the wash since they put it up from £2.99 to £6.99 overnight, greedy turds ! I digress.

I made my own not magnetic used suction cups printed off sign from web laminated it job done like the child on board ones just a foot note don't leave it on if no bottle in vehicle take it off god forbid you have accident don't waste the emergency services time looking for something that's not there same as if no child take the bloody thing off

don't like magnetic one's can damage paint work over time and don't work on fiberglass

Yer more and more cars have fiberglass tailgate's eg Vauxhall Peugeot Ctroen Alfa fiat to name a few on certain models
