Just watched the people at longhorn clean a very expensive traditional shotgun on the TGS YouTube channel.
To paraphrase.
Hose it out with leiga spray .
Blow it out with an air line .
Oil the bits that need oiling with
Castrol magna tech 30w
Worth a watch . The guy mentioned that most people don't have an airline. Most people do . Powerful shop vac reduced to about 1/2 " and on the blow side.
If you haven't done this you will be surprised. Blew excess oil out of my guns very strongly

A good squirt of oil either from an aerosol or an air powered spray gun is ideal for flushing out mechanisms that you don't really want to strip down and then blow it out with an air blow gun to leave it clean, dry and with very light oiling. Also a good way to clean ventilated ribs on shotguns and similar jobs.

Also, careful where you blow it out, make sure its well ventilated/outdoors otherwise all the crap you clean out, you will end up breathing in!
 
Why blow it out, on my shotgun I use Leiga spray leave it to soak for a while get some kitchen paper rolled into a sausage shape and push it through with a cleaning rod.
Rest of the block and trunnions I use LiquiMoly Schmierfix grease, as it's less messy.
I can see the benefit of blowing moisture out if the guns got wet, but just for cleaning not really
Used to watch TSG but he's got a bit too big headed for my liking now, imho of coarse

You would have to ask the boys at longthorne why they don't noe what they are doing.
I think they do some stuff with guns .

Yes Colin, however I have more faith in longthorne than I have in you and they seem rather more polite and successful and helpful than you .
I think they may have a teeny tiny little bit more experience than you .
However I haven't watched any of your shotgun action cleaning videos yet I'm sure they are insightful.

Semi Autos - use some Tetra gun action blaster and then the airline. Then a light spray with Orapi AV33 and Roberts your Dad’s brother!
Great technique for trigger groups and Shotgun actions. 🤷🏻‍♂️
